It also comes in a very nice case in a small soft bag so again very premium feel to this. I don't know what the extra file-, like piece is supposed to do, but the clippers themselves are very sharp and easy to use on finger nails and toe nails, even with my left hand. A word of warning.. Make sure you place the bottom (under) edge of the clipper under the nail before you cut. I placed the top on the nail where I wanted to cut and the bottom edge bit into the flesh under the nail. LOTS of blood!!! The gap is so much wider than my old clippers that I didn't realize that it would catch the flesh so easily. Otherwize, they cut so well. I'm able to easily clip the thick nails. ... show more
