This is the right size if you need it for transplanting small seedlings or flowers. It does not make a very large hole, but it does a good job. Did not have any trouble with it going through the red clay we have here. Definitely better than using a spade or shovel. Would buy again.

New house - bad soil - tool 15 minutes to dig one plant hole. This did the job in 15 seconds. Neighbor borrowed it and is buying one too. Need a good drill and make sure you tighten the chuck really well. Great for smaller plants.
