This is the first Android Auto that I have purchased, and picked this because of the size, features and the fact that it was advertised as plug and play for my 2018 Honda Civic LX. First, the included instructions are not very good, and provide little installation guidance other than to have it professionally installed at at "service center authorized by the manufacturer." It is actually not too difficult to install, I was a bit stumped by the fact that one wire that went into my original stereo did not have a place to go in this one. It turned out being the factory USB port. There were two wires in the kit labelled "Toyota USB Cable", that I wasn't sure what to do with. I ended up running all 3 USB inputs around and into the little pocket in the lower dash forward of the shift lever. I 3D printed a little holder for them and double-stick taped it in place (pic). I also printed a little wire guide and double-stick taped it below the dash to make things neat and tidy (pic). I now have easy access to all three USB ports, even easier than the factory one that sits below the pocket. The size of the unit makes it cover the lower air conditioning vent, as you can see in the picture. This doesn't really bother me, but some people may not want that. The unit itself seems to be very good quality, the video resolution is excellent and the sound is also very good. My steering wheel controls work as before. The unit has sensor input for various things such as the door position, A/C settings (you can see them but not adjust) and more. The backup camera works fine, but the guide lines are not there, it may be something in the settings that I haven't found yet though. Android Auto also seems to work fine as well, and I am now getting acquainted with its features. Overall I am impressed with the unit, as I expected at the price point. I would recommend this if you are confident in your ability to install it, or wish to have it professionally installed. Update Feb 4 2023. I have been using the unit for 18 months now and have had no issues. It connects seamlessly with Android Auto every time I start it. I bought and assembled the SYGAV version 11 myself in like 30 minutes on my Honda XL. To connect the antena to the radio, you just have to connect the actual antena wired that’s already on your car ( there is no need to add the antena… just attach it to one of the bunch of cables😅😅) . However, to have access to the USB port provided by Honda, you will have to pair two different cables( one that will be connected with the usb wired on the Honda, that then will be connected to another cable that have two ends that says USB1 and USB2, connect the cable on the usb1 and the other end will be placed on the infotainment ( to know where it goes, please read the back of the infotainment… right there it says where to add all the cables like USB I believe is section N#6). Pros and cons of the SIGAV infotainment: Pros: - Better sound quality - CarPlay, android and gps accessibility -Capability to watch videos ( when you’re not driving 😅) with pretty good resolution - it reacts pretty well when you touch it. — I mean, it’s like an android tablet with radio and CarPlay — Cons: - there’s like 1-2 seconds delay with the music on CarPlay. I guess there is no way to resolve this problem. There are some cars with the stocked market infotainment that also have that problem. So I wouldn’t bothered with a bit of delay 😅 I would say that that’s the only problem I’ve found so far. It’s pretty expensive but it’s worth it at the same time. I would give it 9/10. ... show more

Overall it's a really good unit, nice quality! Only time will tell how long it last, but I'm really happy with it, things to note.. this is the new android 11 head unit, the guy that reviewed this was the last model, (android 10) you will notice the back of this unit is much different then the video review you will find on YouTube, your not gonna be able to follow his video step by step, there will be different routes you have to take. If I was able to follow the video it would have taken me maybe 20 mins, but because I had to sort all of the plugs and cables my self without instructions it did end up taking much over that time. I’m so disappointed in this head unit. I broke my radio in my civic so this was what I thought closest to what I had. But when I try to talk to text it can’t hear me unless I literally yell into the mic. And forget trying to talk on the phone. Person on the other line says they can’t hear me unless I again yell into the mic by sitting up against my dash. ... show more

    • Easy Install, crap head unit

This unit was literally a 25 minute install. I’ve never done anything like it and only bought it because all the reviews seemed honest. The CarPlay was glitchy with two iPhones on a road trip but other wise it connects well. If you take it off the “auto connect “ and manually do it, it’s perfect! At 5 months the unit shut off and all that happened was my Honda logo would spin and spin. I reached out to the company’s WhatsApp and they responded immediately…helpful, yes! However the process of resetting the radio to get it to the reboot was so annoyingly glitchy. The file source would never read the android update. They spoke with me several times before ver text and seemed helpful. However I hit the reset button so many times that it stopped depressing. Unit DONE. I asked for a new unit and ghosted. So is it work 500? Not in my opinion. I sadly installed my OEM radio back in. ... show more
