I read only the negative reviews and decided to make the purchase of this chair for my bedroom. I am really glad I did. The seller messaged me after the order was placed that the chair would come in two boxes and advised the boxes may not ship together. I received both boxes in the same shipment. There was no smell. There was a holiday pillow cover in the box as a gift. The chair was easy to put together. The arm rests and phone holder were tucked under the seat portion. The arm rests are attached by a zipper. You zip it on like you would zip up a jacket. I had a little trouble getting the left side because of my positioning. The back slides on. I didn't hear a loud click, but I could tell when the back was secure. I wiggled it to be sure, (it came out the first time). Took me around 20 minutes to unbox and put together. As stated in another review, the beige is different depending on the light (see pictures). Note also the carpet also changes color with the light. The leatherette is very soft. The padding feels good and firm, but not stiff. There is good lumbar support. It rocks, swivels and reclines just fine. I have it about 12 inches from the wall to recline completely supine. I have no problem getting the foot rest up or down, or pushing back to fully recline at different angles. FYI, the space in the back when reclining is no different from any other manual recliner I have ever seen. As for the not so good, I do not like the phone holder. It looks like a black pipe, but it is really flexible. (see pictures). A nesting table or side pocket would have been better aesthetically. I have removed it. Also, the chair really is small. Make sure to take measurements and use the "See it in your room" feature. This chair looks and feels better than I thought it would at this price point. Since I will be using the chair regularly, I am hopeful it will hold up more than a couple of months. This works for me, glad I took the chance. ... show more

This was my best purchase yet. It did arrive in 2 boxes but they arrived simultaneously and fast. Recliner was packaged well and there was no damage or tears. It’s the perfect recliner for small apartments (doesn’t take up the entire living room) and if you are shorter, you feel fully supported without your legs dangling or needing extra pillows behind you. Super easy to put together alone; it only took minutes. Incredibly comfortable and the reclining mechanism works perfectly reclining nearly flat. Has a nice rocker and swivel. Not heavy but sturdy. I ordered the beige but it looks more off light grey. You do need some leg strength to help close the foot rest: probably not for anyone weak or super frail. I have herniated discs in my lower back and a damaged hip socket and this chair was the most comfortable chair to sit in or lay flat on. I would recommend! ... show more

I am satisfied with my purchase, I didn’t want to spend a ton of money but also wanted good quality and appearance. I bought this chair for my baby’s nursery and it’s very comfortable and functional. The only thing I would change is making it easier to get the footrest back down without waking up the baby, I have to push it in hard with my feet. The manufacturer of this GNMLP2020 recliner is to be regarded as DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! I purchased this small recliner for my wife to use in our house next to her mother after she returned from the hospital. The recliner arrived the day after her mother died. I did not break the seal on the two shipping boxes the chair was shipped in. I requested through Amazon the return labels and Amazon contacted the seller who sent only one return label. At that time I received a phone call from my family reporting that my father had also died in North Carolina so we had to immediately drive there from Washington state for his funeral. We contacted Amazon and told them we had to leave but requested the second return label from the manufacturer. Amazon said they would contact them and told us the manufacturer had 48 hours to contact us. It has been over two weeks since we last spoke with Amazon and the manufacturer has not sent a second return label nor have they taken the time to contact us at all. The thirty day time limit for returns has since expired. My advice is DO NOT PURCHASE ANY PRODUCTS FROM GNMLP MANUFACTURING!! ... show more
