The media could not be loaded. I was looking for switchback mirrors to complement the switchback turn signals in my headlights. These did not disappoint. They are extremely sturdy. Far better quality than the aftermarket 08+ mirrors I previously had. No vibrations and it takes a lot of force to fold these mirrors in. They hold in place great. The switchbacks are bright. I was worried that maybe the white would stay on when the turn signals were activated so that it would flash white-amber-white-amber etc. but that is not the case. The white does cut out and only amber illuminates. I’ve attached a video demonstrating this for anyone else who may be wondering which type of switchback this is. As the previous replies have stated, I did have to use a Dremel and knock off the plastic set pins at the top of the A-Pillar mounting base to use these on my 2000 F-250. Very simple and easy to do. I did have one mirror (drivers side) where the wires for the parking lights & turn signal were flip-flopped. Easy fix, I just switched the taps around and solved that problem. Passenger side was correct to the instructions. I did not hook up the heated mirror function as it wasn’t all that important to me. Maybe down the road I will mess with it and locate a power source and add a switch. But for now, I can’t give any honest feedback on that aspect. Wiring: This is what worked for my 2000 F-250. Parking Lights - Brown wire behind the headlight switch. I popped the panel off to access from behind and simply tapped in. Driver Turn - Light Green w/Blue Stripe located under the dash going up to the steering column. You will have to peel back some wire loom to get access as there are quite a few wrapped up together. Passenger Turn - White w/ Light Blue Stripe located in the same place as the driver side. ***Be sure to use the FRONT turn signal wires. Using the rear turn wires will cause the amber on the mirrors to illuminate when the brakes are applied since the turn & brake is the same bulb in the rear. It would be best to double check the wire colors for your model year but this is what worked for me. Hopefully this can save you a little bit of time searching for the best and easiest place to tie in. The hardest part will be fishing the new wires through the door grommets to come out under the dash. With some very minor modifications and some patience, these are an excellent upgrade from the 99-03s that never came with factor mirrors with signals and well worth the money in my opinion. Completely changed the appearance of my truck and makes it look newer than it actually is. ... show more

The wiring was wired incorrect - had the turning signals wired for running lights and the running lights did not work at all. Ended up costing me $285.00 to have the wiring corrected.

The product overall was good, seemed sturdy and did exactly what I wanted it to, only issue I had with the performance of it was like stated above the blue and red and yellow/orange wire needed to be cut and switched, blue to red and yellow/orange and vise versa, after that was done blinkers and running lights worked mint, only other issue I had was behind the foam padding that helps with vibrations there was a little plastic tab on both mirrors that prevented it from seating properly, nothing a pocket knife could’nt fix tho, overall happy with the product ... show more

Mirrors were a great price for aftermarket but did come with a few issues. Obviously cutting the tabs to make it fit flush and the wiring was wrong. Then the gap and the top but if you know what you are doing you can use a heat gun a tape and make it sit tight!

    • Mirror to truck wiring extension is wired incorrectly.

On a 2007 Ford F250 you have to switch the black wire with the red/yellow wire for correct operation of the running light and blinker. Recommend manufacturer pay closer attention to wiring the harness.

Upon installation of these mirrors I found some modification was needed to make them fit which was not a big deal but when I went to wire them for the turn signals and running lamp the driver side amber led worked fine. But the passenger side did not work at all. All in all the mirrors function like they should but it's not worth the extra money for these mirrors with this particular side marker light due to the fact it looks very cheap. I will order me new side marker lights a different style and I still have to check the wiring in the actual mirror to make sure it's good for the lighting. ... show more
