I was really surprised how nice this is. I recently brought my switch out of storage, and started playing some games on it. I quickly realized I wanted to play in portable mode more often. I read the reviews on this, and they were all good. I was still surprised by the quality once I received it. Took me a couple of mins to figure out the pairing, color options, auto-fire setup, etc. Once I did, I absolutely love it. I am an adult male with smaller hands - this fits my hands perfectly, and I could see where it would be comfortable to use for the mountain ogres walking amoung us. This controller is great. Really easy to set up and connect. You will need to set it as a controller grip each time, but it's an easy process that's worth it. So far, it pairs with all my games, with the exception of Power Wash. All other games are working. It's comfortable to hold and lightweight. I like the dual charger that's with it. My husband wanted this because we couldn’t afford a steam deck yet. He says this actually makes playing the switch comfortable and enjoyable without a TV and an additional remote. I have noticed a big difference with how much he has played his switch lately. He says the buttons are way more responsive and they feel higher quality than the small ones that clip into the side of the switch. 10/10 would buy again. ... show more

    • Very good, only a couple minor complaints.

Very well designed and comfortable even for smaller hands like mine. It's durable and better than even the Hori Split Pad Pro joycons in my opinion. That said, I do have a couple of complaints that have been bothering me. Firstly, the rumble is a little odd, it has 3 settings which are: no rumble, medium rumble, high rumble. Even medium rumble is pretty strong though. My BIGGEST complaint is connecting the controller to the Switch. connecting it for the first time isn't hard at all, just go to Controllers - Change Grip/Order - Press and hold Home button for 5-ish seconds and it'll connect, easy as that. The problem is, you have to do this EVERY TIME you turn your Switch back on. I looked through the instructions and it didn't say anything about this. If there is a way to have it connected all the time like the joycons, I would raise my review to an easy 5 stars. Unfortunately, if there is a way, I haven't found it yet. ... show more

Excellent Alternative to Joy-Cons! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Spican Switch Controller is a fantastic upgrade for anyone who prefers a more comfortable handheld gaming experience. The full-size ergonomic design makes it much easier to hold compared to the standard Joy-Cons, especially during long gaming sessions. The buttons are responsive, the joysticks feel smooth, and the RGB lighting adds a cool touch. Connectivity was seamless, and the battery life is impressive. The turbo and programmable button features are a great bonus for customization. I would love to give this a full 5 stars, but because the controller / system doesnt seem to remember the blue tooth link after powering down, I have to go through the link set up each time I turn the console back on. This includes sleep mode. Over all though, the controller so is built sturdy, and havent had any issues with the buttons or joysticks. The rear game storage slots are nice, keeps the titles in there securely, but it does take a bit of work to get a proper grip to remove them. The over all size and weight addition makes the switch to be about as big as the steam deck so it gives a bit more rigid feel to the console when using it in mobile mode then it would have using normal joy cons, or pro controller splits. No need to worry about the flimsy connection or have any wiggle between the controller and the screen. ... show more
