I'm always a little leery of using aftermarket parts to repair things, but I took the chance on this left joy-con rail for a beat up old launch Switch I acquired and it worked out great. The new part fit perfectly and works just as well as the original. I can play in handheld mode now without the joy-con detaching. The hardest part about the repair on this part is removing the old one, the screws that hold it to the body are super tight. I stripped one even with the correct tools and had to drill it out. Just a heads up for anyone attempting this repair themselves. Make sure you buy the specialized screwdrivers you need for the Switch screws, and the little plastic spudger tool that comes with most Switch repair kits definitely comes in handy for properly seating the delicate ribbon cable back into the Switch's main board. ... show more

Old rail was corroded on the joycon connection side - I bought this, opened the back, removed the rails, disconnected the battery and then replaced. Works like a charm and a perfect fit. Definitely recommend! Fixed my joycon detection issue

Stiffer but fit well, fixed my charging issue on the left joycon. The cables are a bit of a pain to attach; make sure you note not just which side is which but how the factory cables were curved/folded inside the case so you can repeat it with the new ones.
