We got this very same fountain at the pool store when we bought our pool. It lasted for 2 years before the sun did a number on the pedals and other plastic parts. We liked the way the fountain sprayed so much that we bought this one from Amazon. We expect it to last about 2 years but we’ll see. Was super excited to have this awesome design cool off our pool. We’ll it said it was for above ground pools & no it’s not. We’ll Bestway Pools are proprietary parts so the return is like 3 + inches big so it doesn’t fit right in. Searched all over town for an adaptor & nothing would fit. I’m sure it works great if it fit but they need to reword their descriptions. ... show more

    • Works as expected ... fell apart though
After about 2 months, the pvc joint from ball socket to sprinkling device came unglued. The fitting itself was too loose to hold the water pressure. Easy fix though - regular PVC primer/glue worked to secure it.

The media could not be loaded. I am pleasantly surprised with how much it cools the pool and how nice it looks. I had to make my own modification / adapter to fit my Intex pool (there is an adapter you can purchase but I didn't want to wait). This is a good buy in my opinion.

The diameter of this is too small for the Intex pool return valve. I looked online and at the local pool supply for some kind of adapter to no avail. I finally took a threaded cover that fit it and was not being used and cut the top off with a hacksaw, I then had to grind the inside down to fit the large coupler inside it and feed the other piece through. I was able to then screw it onto my pool. It does work now but it took quite a bit of effort on my part. I live in southern Arizona and this does a great job of keeping the temperature down in my pool. I just wish it had an adapter to fit my pool. ... show more

    • Water fountain spray only goes about 3 feet with a rated 1.5 HP pump, 2.2 Total pump rating.
I gave this product a two as it works, easy to install, looks good. However, with a 1.5 HP pump I was expecting a 10-14 ft waterfall & only have a 3 ft stream. We noticed when we press our bodies against the water jets the waterfall increase to 4 ft. Disappointed that the specs suggest up to 14 feet water flow. ... show more
