I do a lot of car camping and recently spent two cold (25F) nights in the Tuskegee National Forest. This blanket was a critical part of my gear for those nights. The heating elements aren't huge and won't put out high heat all night long from the included battery, but at a medium setting it took the edge off when combined with a down quilt over it. The heating panels aren't ideally placed so adding something to trap the heat makes it much more effective. The blanket itself is very soft and without the heating elements going, offers about the same heat as a thick fleece blanket. This is a good while sitting on the bleachers at an outdoor football game, on a fall hayride, or in a hammock in the woods. The pocket which holds the battery is fairly large and the wiring uses a USB cable, so you can plug in a larger battery for longer heat. ... show more

We love to sit on the patio near the fire pit and this heated throw makes it much better on cold afternoons. Its battery usually last for the hour or so we sit outside and we recharge it every time we use it. It is not warm all over but it does have warm spots that make it nice. Over all it fun and unique. My teenagers also take it to outdoor events and seem to really like it. Quality wise its good. There aren't any stitching issues or odd shapes that I have found. I like it. ... show more

Unfortunately it barely gets warm, even on high. But, the battery pack gets extremely warm unfortunately. The good things are that it’s very soft and it has snaps that allow it to drape over your shoulders without falling off. Definitely returning, because I wanted a HEATED blanket.

I have a couple of throws that are heated, but the need to be plugged in and then ended up tangled in the cords makes them just not enjoyable. This is so much better! The batter pack fits into a zippered pocket so it doesn't flop around too bad. It does get a little awkward at times, but nowhere near as bad as the electrical cords were! As far as the blanket itself, it is soft and warm. It is fairly lightweight, but even when turned off still is nice an cozy. With the heat on, it is amazing. I used it camping when the heater broke over night. I stayed warm with this during 40 degree weather. The battery lasted almost all night on medium, so the only thing I might do is have a second battery as a back up. Washing was easy. I washed it a couple of times - the first time trying to get rid of the weird scent. Then again after camping. Both times I threw it on a gentle cycle, and then dried in on low heat. So far zero issues with that. I didn't really pay attention to the instructions, because I am going to want to wash it regardless of what they say. Just make sure the battery is removed prior to washing, and use gentler cycles and it will be fine. This is something that will make an amazing gift for the person you know who is always cold. It is expensive for a blanket, but with the battery heat it is very worth it! ... show more
