Needed extra plugs in a location that has one stand plug, and one plug connected to a light switch for a lamp. Did not want to rewire and reconfigure the outlet, and most splitters require both plugs to be covered, where as I wanted to maintain the switch plug for its use. Feels snug plugged in, I rotated it downward. Installation was a breeze, packaging was very simple and easy to open. Compared to the plug options at the hardware store, this was a better value for the features you get. Outlets feel snug with a few items plugged in now, does not appear to be low quality. So far these are working great in my home. I love that the plugs can go into the side outlets of the extender, not sticking out into the room. I read some negative comments about this extender not working so well if turned horizontally. I can see why. If twisted horizontally, the weight of the plug would draw it down. I use these vertically, but there is a downside: Because this extender fits into only one plug outlet, and because it swivels, it cannot be stabilized firmly in the outlet. you must use both hands to insert and/or pull out a plug (The USB works pretty easily with one hand). That seems like no big deal until you are trying to unplug something from behind furniture close to the floor. the one in the kitchen is great because I can reach it easily with both hands. Just so you know if shopping for a good accessible extender. Think about where it will go. And, for me, one that does not swivel would have been better. But, the price is good and the product works well. So, I am satisfied with it. ... show more

It's nice to be able to swivel the extender to fit it in tight spots. This extender has many AC outlets and is perfect for my kitchen because we have more appliances than outlets.
