  • Solved my problem!
Needed to replace a faucet on a laundry sink that had been mounted to the basin before that was mounted to the cabinet, so no one had ever needed access before. I had no luck with anything from pliers to a basin wrench. First, I bought the (highly recommended) Rigid multi-tool, but it was too big to fit. I came close to just tearing the whole cabinet out, but gave this little wrench head a try first. It did the job. I held it in my hand and got the old coupling nuts out, and the new ones into place. Nothing else would have worked! ... show more

  • Hey this mostly works on 15/16" coupling nuts!
The media could not be loaded. So there seems to be disagreement on if this thing works on the popular 15/16 brass nut that attaches every rental property's bathroom faucet to the basin. After several hours of abusing my hands I can say it does, but it needed some redneck engineering to loosen bolts that were rusted on since 1995. I tightened a wrench around the bit driver handle, the driver to an adapter, which was then attached to the Basin Buddy. The fit is a little loose (see video to see the wiggle) and it slipped out a few times, but they eventually came loose. These also worked on plastic locknuts some idiot glued on years ago. These were at an extremely awkward angle too narrow for a wrench, and although it was ugly, the Basin Buddy eventually got it done. Thumbs up. ... show more

  • This thing is glorious
I have three basin wrenches. This is the best tool of them all. You do need socket extenders and a good socket wrench, but with those two items + this adapter, you can make short work out of even the toughest faucets to access. I needed to remove a rapidly aging and slightly corroded faucet from behind a two-drain sink with a garbage disposal. Conditions were cramped, so I budgeted two hours and about 40 swear words for removal. Removal took 20 minutes and zero swear words. I wish I had had this thing for every faucet swap out I've ever done. Added bonus: This thing is stout. I can't imagine the conditions needed to break or damage it. ... show more

  • Love the idea
I own this and the Ridgid 66807 Faucet and Sink Installer Model 2006 . Unfortunately neither will do 15/16" brass lock nuts. The basin buddy has a 1/4" socket hole (you need to buy an extension) and a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter (so you could buy 3/8 extension). I bought the TEKTON 1608 1/4-Inch Drive Extra Long Extension Bar Set for the 18/12/9" extensions. I talked to someone in Engineering @ superior about the 15/16" and they told me that the tool is made to do 870 thousands but will fit up to 930 thousands but unfortunately 15/16 = 937 thousands (so close). I've bought a GearWrench 81612 3/8-Inch Drive Crowfoot Wrench 15/16-Inch that will hopefully help me out next time I hit the 15/16 but I'll keep the basin buddy for the modern tabbed locked nuts as it can't be worse than a standard basin wrench ! I recently tried on a modern single hole faucet but the lock nut was the smaller size (7/8) where the smaller recessed size seems to be 13/16 in the superior tool fitting and unfortunately trying to tighten a locknut that is held off the surface by 1/4 where the tool wrench to hook into it is recessed 1/2" doesn't allow it to grip it. I bought a set of SAE crow feet RamPro 3/8" Drive Crowfoot Wrench Set, SAE/Inch (Standard) | Includes Sizes: 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, 13/16, 7/8 & 1 Inch | 10-Piece Kit with Clip Organizer. and the 7/8 size worked great (see picture) ! ... show more

  • Not for the stuck on plastic faucet nut
Bought it for a stuck on faucet nut (plastic). Broke off all 4 "stems" and didn't budge the nut a bit. Might have been an impossible task for this tool, but I'll never know. Otherwise, the ultra tiny socket adapter seems kind of small for a stuck on brass/metal nut, but I don't (will never) have a chance to try it on one of those. Seems like it'll snap on a tough job. I wanted to love this, but it didn't work out. Good concept, but for the truly stuck nut, you'll have to get a cutter unfortunately. ... show more

  • Perfect tool for removing an old sink!
I spent an hour trying to remove plastic nuts from an old corroded sink using a normal basin wrench. The basin wrench was very difficult to use in such a small space and ended up breaking off parts of the plastic nut. My options were to find a better tool or figure out how to saw either the nut or the bolt off. Enter this tool... It easily removed the plastic nut, even with several broken fins. I was then able to quickly replace another sink without even having to climb into the cabinet. Very helpful product!! ... show more

  • works great, saved me hours!
This is a must have tool if you need to do a basic bathroom faucet replacement. I easily spent 1 hour per sink trying to remove the plastic nuts that hold the faucet to the sink due to lack of access and i had a basin wrench, tried pipe wrenches, etch. I bought this and then had to swap another faucet and literally took seconds to remove the plastic nut, great idea and must have! ... show more

  • Better than a sink wrench!
This adapter made removing and installing both the water lines and faucet fixtures. It worked better, in my opinion, than the sink wrench that is more commonly used. Extensions could be added, removed or switched out making it easier to reach to the back of the sink under the cabinet (which for me was small and cramped). ... show more
