Go Anywhere: Get The Power Of A Super Antenna. Updated for 2024. This ham radio portable antenna system features a collapsible all band Hf antenna, Swr ruler, ground spike mount, go bag, and radial sets. Whether your needs are an expedition, carry-on, an apartment balcony, back yard, a weekend get-away, or an EmComm disaster relief antenna set, this go-anywhere antenna system puts the world at your touch. So many top operators choose the Mp1 because it is extremely reliable, powerful, compact, and versatile. It covers the entire range of Ham bands, all shortwave frequencies, all this spectrum of bands, and everything in between. Simply adjust the Superslider to your desired frequency and start transmitting. Super Antenna's precision engineered construction and high Q polymer coil makes it the perfect companion for Qrp or higher output portable transceivers for maximum radiated power. The aircraft-grade aluminum tubular slider with military-grade nickel beryllium slip connections provides clean and constant tuning, without resorting to the clumsy fly wires, gimmick clips, or unreliable banana jacks found in low tech competitor designs.

  • Fast Setup
I bought the antenna for POTA. Wanted to try something quicker to deploy than my OCFD. It is certainly quickly and appears to be well made. Just be aware especially for low power QRP ops you are giving up a lot in performance compared to a wire antenna. However I did complete the activation I attempted with Super Antenna and am a fan of the ground spike mount, radials are nice also. ... show more

  • Works Well - UPDATED
Wasn’t expecting a whole lot from a stick in the ground. Main selling point was the rated watts. Using FT8, first contact was from the Pittsburgh area to Spain. I’m sold. EDIT: So after using two of these now I am still amazed at their performance. After removing the one that was set up in the front yard so the grass could be cut, I went back into the house, forgetting to put it back up. Later that afternoon I sat down at the radios and promptly tuned the FTDX10 and went on the air. I made contacts for about an hour with an SWR 1:1. The next day I walked out on the front porch and there was the antenna (without the radials connected), laying on top of the porch wall. Once again… I’m sold. The only issue at the moment is that there hasn’t been any restocking of parts for quite some time. If the company is reading these reviews, I hope they will address this. ... show more

  • Great antenna for fast setup
I use this antenna at home on my patio of my condo. It performs much better out at a park with a faraday cloth under it, but that is the nature of setting an antenna on the patio mounted to a tripod. I have hit Perth, Australia from Houston, TX during good band conditions. YMMV. I have definitely got my money’s worth out of this antenna. ... show more

  • Well thought out, nice kit.
Got this for POTA use. Stuck it out back and worked a guy about 1500 miles away without an issue. Sets up in a few minutes. The manual is very thorough. It's a nice unit.

  • Super Antenna MP1DXG Portable HF Antenna
The antenna of choice for my new G90 mobile rig - I have nothing but praise for the quality and reception of this product. Compact and easy to assemble and use, reception was excellent first time out in the field; we connected with Ontario and Quebec in Canada, and several Nets in the US, including: Pennsylvania, Kansas, Louisana, and Florida. Bands 40m thru 10m. Optionally equipped, I will also be able to reach 6m and 80m. A great start for a portable “rookie”. ... show more

  • Hard to tune
Concept is great, but even with auto tuner swr is bad. Used ruler then tried fine tuning but never better than 1.7 swr. Vna showed poor Smith graph and poor swr. Tried moving radials, moving mast, adjusting whip, but not very accurate. Another cheap loaded coul vertical should have stuck with my dipole ... show more
