  • We’re checking motors
Pattern Name: Megohmmeter
I thought that I would use this a lot. I don’t use it a lot. I don’t use. It is bad if it’s your motor could put power to it don’t move is definitely bad or maybe you have a bad capacitor. If you have a meter and you know how to use it same thing it is a nice tool though

  • For the price, unbeatable
Pattern Name: Megohmmeter
Needed to check for insulation degradation between my house and a distant outdoor subpanel. Easy to use, simple to interpret. Took off one star because... C batteries, really? I have a stockpile of batteries, but exactly two Cs in the entire house, had to raid the kid's camping lantern.

  • Great help for the diagnostician
Pattern Name: Megohmmeter
A small price to pay for the info this can provide in problematic situations. Intermittent or rare failures can be the most vexing to troubleshoot. This helps with that analysis, it will find faults that even a good multimeter and physical inspection will miss.

  • Made a Great Gift
Pattern Name: Megohmmeter
My son, who is an air conditioning tech, wanted this for Christmas so I got it for him and he reported back to me that he wished he had one earlier because he used it to show customers the results on the meter and he sold two units that he might not have sold otherwise. He is very scrupulous to not try to sell customers new units unless they are needed and customers are wary of techs trying to sell them units before they are needed. He felt very secure in telling the customers that they would soon need a new unit based on the meter's readings. It served as an honest and effective sales tool which also saved the homeowners problems of a future breakdown. He profusely thanked me for this gift. ... show more
