This Gazebo came in 2 boxes. The frame was very easy to put up with some experienced help. The roof had a lot of pieces so I recommend you have a table for the bolts and etc. Concrete anchors are/were not included so you will need to purchase 16. The materials are very well made. The support posts are made of wood as well as the frame. It was installed in a couple of hours, but it was for an association beach so lots of hands. The instructions were very easy to follow and the gazebo was very well packaged. We unpacked everything and laid it out so they pieces were easy to identify. Received this item within a couple weeks of ordering. Boxes were a bit damaged in shipping. Missing some critical bolts, but Sunjoy was very responsive and shipped them to us right away. Only took about another week. My only complaint is that this is supposedly a Cedar gazebo and it's really "China Pine", as they say in the instructions. Wood is pretty soft and easy to splinter. I split a cross beam on the second step. Was able to sandwich it between two other pieces I had, so should be strong enough. Like many of these gazebos, the more you put it together, the more reinforced it is. It is definitely a 2 person job, mainly for assembling the frame. After that, it is a lot of nuts and bolts to assemble the roof. Not hard at all, but takes some time. Not being in a hurry, it has taken a few days to finish. You could do it in 2 days, or if you have two motivated folks, probably a day. Directions are all pictograms, so sometimes a little unclear. Other than that, no real issues with assembly and the gazebo looks very nice and is sturdy. will be using a waterproof stain on the wood for weather protection before the weather turns. ... show more

This gazebo is beautiful, extremely strong and well designed. But definitely not for amateurs to assemble. I am a high-level home improvement guy, and I brought in a skilled handyman to put this together. Between us, we had all the necessary tools and three different sizes of ladders, and lots of experience assembling complex structures. And that's what you need. Most of the hundreds of screws for assembly have hex heads. Yes, you can use the little wrenches that come with the kit. But you really need a pair of drivers to speed the work and get the torque right. And it takes two strong people to put it all together. ... show more

We just finished putting this together and are very happy with the quality of the gazebo. It’s very sturdy once completely assembled. We had a little delay with shipping because our phone number was never provided to the warehouse so I had track it down and call them but they did deliver it the next day. I highly recommend having at least two people assemble this. Everything was labeled clearly and all the screw holes lined up perfectly but when it came time to lift the wooden frame, the product is very unsteady until all the framing is connected and with only two of us, it almost fell and could have easily split the wood. The directions are very easy to follow and again everything was labeled perfectly and slid right into place. It took 2 of us a weekend to put it together but we’re very happy with the finished product. I would highly recommend this gazebo. ... show more

I checked out the reviews before buying this gazebo. I will say I had no negative experiences and can only say great things. The product was delivered in two boxes that contained all of the parts which were well labeled. The hardware was contained in individual trays for each part - not just a big bag of stuff. I was able to assemble this with the help of one other person. I’m a 61 yo man and my helper was a friend of my wife who is 30. We needed two others to help when it was time to stand it up. But once we got a bolt thru the beam and into the column we were fine with them. I decided to put the bases in a pot (look at the pics) to add some color. We anchored three bolts into the bottom of the pot and then put one long anchor into the choice below. We had to use two days to assemble it as we got rained out the first day. Total time spent was 7 hours. A few helpful suggestions: 1. Layout the baseplates first to determine where you will be anchoring them (if going into a deck). I had to drill a hole thru the baseplate on two of them to line up with a joist. 2. Do t overtighten the bolts in the frame until you have it squared up. To determine if it is square you need to measure diagonally across the inside and they must be equal dimensions. 3. I left one anchor (the one going to a joist) out until o had the steel framework above roughed in (the major members running to the center). Then I sank that last anchor. 4. When installing the roof panels, do not tighten down all the way ( the holes are slotted). Allow yourself the ability to slide things left or right until you have all the rough panels on.
