My kids love these. They look cool and keep junk off their faces when riding. They run small though so if your child has a really big head you may want to size up.

So we got the helmet in and it looks really good my daughter is excited to wear it. My concern is the padding at the top towards the top rear feels very thin to me so I'm hoping this won't be a comfort issue on long rides.

I bought this helmet for my child for in-door kart racing. It is a very nice helmet for the price. However, the sizing chart is off by about two sized. My wife, my child's race instructor, and me measured my child's head numerous times and we all came to the same number, 21 and 1/2 inches (see picture). The sizing chart clearly states that an XL helmet is recommended for 21 to 22 inches. The XL youth helmet we received was so big that my child could almost rotate it 360 degrees around their head. The next morning I contacted customer service and explained the issue but in the end had to pay for return shipping. I have purchased dozens of helmets using sizing charts and never had a helmet this far off. I hope the sizing chart is revisited and corrected in the near future so others will not have to be disappointed and be charged unnecessary return shipping fees. ... show more

Great helmet! My daughter picked the color and is very happy with it. We had a tough time getting the helmet on her head the first few times but she has since learned how to put it on (pulling the straps to widen it) and I think the padding has softened up a bit. I like the helmet because it is actually kid size and not an adult helmet with extra padding. She doesn't wear the gloves so if I had to do it again, I'd just purchase the helmet. One small item for consideration: the helmet could use more ventilation. She cracks the visor a tiny bit for some air flow. ... show more
