  • Good quality, great value, easy install
Size: 66-120" Color: Matte Black
Great value for the price. The black metal rods and hardware are good quality. Love the industrial type look. Installation was very easy, and I was able to use the included anchors without any issues. I used all three pieces, but didn't need any of the middle piece to show, but it appears the middle piece is needed in order to connect the two larger diameter side rods. If I needed a shorter length, I don't see how the rod would have been able to accomodate, however it met my need perfectly. It drops ever so slightly in the middle, though I chose not to use the included mide supports. I may add them later. Verdict - Good quality for the price, great style. Tip1 - I installed by having someone hold the assembled rod level just above the window trim, and marked the 4 holes with a pencil. This made it easy to drill in the anchors. Tip2 - I installed the rod leaving about 12" extra on either side - this allows the curtains to hang to the sides of the window out of the way, framing the window and making it look bigger. ... show more

  • Same problem as Laney!
Size: 66-120" Color: Matte Black
These rods are sturdy and well made, but the sizing is INCORRECT. They are supposed to be 66" to 120" wide, but the "main" rods are 43" wide each and the middle/connecting rod must be inserted for them to work. The minimum size should actually be listed as 86.5" wide. Do not order these if your window is less than 86.5" wide as mine was...OR perhaps the smaller option is incorrect as well and maybe that set might have worked. ... show more

  • Works within a certain aesthetic...
Size: 66-120" Color: Matte Black
We installed these in one of our home offices this evening. We decided to mount from the ceiling to reinforce the utilitarian aesthetic, which we highly recommend even though it omits the wrap-around feature. The inner screw was only mildly cumbersome, but needed to start with a drill then finish with a smaller phillips. 03/19 Update: We ordered another set which came with a finish that was noticeably rougher (think 150 grit sandpaper) which was a departure from the eggshell smooth finish from the earlier purchase. Definitely going to cause problems if hanging cloth curtains directly. Attached a photo but unsure if it captures the difference in texture. ... show more

  • Cool industrial look and seemingly quite sturdy
Size: 36-66" Color: Aged Brass
Wanted some curtains to block out the sun light and mute traffic noise when sleeping in after working evenings or nights. Was looking at different room darkening rods and was looking for something that seemed durable as I saw a lot of them which looked dainty. I found these to be not only aesthetically pleasing to the eye with the industrial look to them but they also looked like they would hold up well. They were pretty easy to put together. The little protective plastic insert on the rod was a bit difficult to get out but other than that everything went together as it should. Hung curtsins on it and it feels sturdy. I am still not sure if going to put the extra stabililizer piece on the center. The window is about five feet wide and it feels really solid. So I dont know yet if I am going to install the center bracket. Probably the thing That stands out the most to me was the end brackets. They are heavy and I mean that in a good way. They mounted quite solidly. I put some tension on each to see and they don't budge. I have blackout curtains on them and while they are not the heaviest curtains they are not light either. Overall quite pleased. Was delivered on promised date. ... show more

  • Not for rod pocket or tab backs!
Size: 66-120" Color: Matte Black
These need to have curtains with grommets or curtain clips. Do NOT use with rod pocket or tab back unless you want pulls and damage to the fabric. Also do not get if you want your curtains to move and/or slide. I bought brand new, right out of the package, Deconovo room darkening curtains and as I am putting them on, or trying to, the material is being shredded by this rod. I didn't think the texture would literally be sandpaper. Bumpy, maybe. And they are hard to clean after I got drywall dust on them. Very very not happy nor satisfied. I don't have the time or patience to send these back. I'm just going to have to live with it. At least we don't need to open the curtains often. ... show more

  • Not enough screws
Size: 66-120" Color: Matte Black
The two ends have 4 holes in them. so you need 8 screws to install without the middle bracket. 10 would be required if you install the middle bracket yet it only came with 6 screws. The directs it comes with are absolutely useless. It comes with three rods, the middle one is inserted into both larger end ones. However, there does not seem to be a way to secure the three of them together so the middle one doesnt slide around inside of the other two. ... show more

  • Cool industrial look with the cast-iron & piping visuals.
Size: 66-120" Color: Matte Black
I gave this only a 4-star for the money, perhaps only because I don't do a lot of window-treatment shopping, but the ones we got for our guest bedroom and my wife's salon were 1/3 the cost. Then again, they also weren't as unique and interesting as this industrial pipe-looking curtain rod. Installation was easy, just be CAREFUL about where you mount the center supporting bracket, as it's meant to be supporting the center/smaller tube, though it is large enough to support the larger tube to either side as well. We were off by apparently nearly a full 1" on the center installation, and learned this. Otherwise sturdy. I would recommend that curtains for this be mounted with larger grommets, as cloth running across the rod tends to be pretty touch and wants to catch on the roughness of the powder coating. ... show more
