  • These spoons were excellent for slowly working the bead down and for getting decent grip on the lip of the tires. They don't have an aggressive bend so they were easy to slip between the tire and the rim lip. The edges were completely smooth with no sharp burrs.

I needed a quick pair to use to change out a flat I got on my scooter. This arrived quickly and I got down to using it ASAP, They did what I needed, solid quality, smooth finish, important to not cut the rubber tires or the tubes. I’ll have to leave them home, too heavy to carry on my rides, unless I’m riding through bad areas, I can use them to defend myself and do major damages if it comes down to that. This tire lever set came in handy last weekend on the trail. They worked much better than my friend's standard tire levers. His were too pointy and easily ripped up the new tube during installation. The smooth, broad spoon shape of these levers didn't do any damage to wheel or tube. They took plenty of force without bending and the rubberized handles were nice to my hands. The headline says it all. A lot of times your tires can be a real bear to get on the rims. Especially if tubeless. Plus breaking levers is something you pretty much expect, right? Nowadays I carry one of these levers with my in my kit. Just one is plenty, along with a couple of Pedros levers. I use this steel tire spoon to do the heavy work and it excels at it. Just be careful as its so powerful you could end up scraping along your rims and refinishing them... in a bad way. So far so good for me. Can't believe IO took so long to try these out. ... show more
