Although I got what I paid for, it states in the description a pair of closet rod ends, that to me implies a total of 4, a package with 2 sets or pairs, but what it really means is you get a total of 2. The picture only shows 2 but I wrongly (apparently) thought it was a picture of the 2 with the open ends, and that the back-end pieces would be in the (Pair) of brackets. Wrong on all counts, but I will make do as is or simply purchase another set to get all 4 if I need to. I got these to work but it wasn't without hassle. I only needed 2 but bought 4 because the shipping time was much faster. 2 of the 4 had the side tightening screw that was painted over and I couldn't loosen. Lucky I didn't need those 2. My pole diameter ended up being too small for these so I had to take some strips of paper, fold them a few times till I got enough thickness to put under and along the opposite side of the pole from the tightening screw to hold it up high enough that the side screw could hold it in place. But I couldn't use the little screw in there that it came with because it was much too short. I had to use the longer mounting screws from the 2 holders that I wasn't using. I got them to work in the end and they are doing the job I bought them for. Just beware that it may be hard to loosen the tightening screw and make sure your pole is big enough. ... show more

We use a tension rod in our laundry room so the dirty laundry can be behind a curtain. Everytime the door would open all the way it would hit the rod and make it fall down. Very annoying. These have provided the extra support under the ends of the rod so it stays up even if the door opens all the way. My husband ended up using bigger screws than what was sent.
