Many succulents like Cactus or Lithops thrive on neglect so they are the perfect choices for people without a green thumb. THE PERFECT GIFT FOR YOUR LOVED ONES Thanks to their resilience and unique features, succulents quickly gain popularity as the most trendy houseplants. In many cultures, succulents are believed to represent incredible meanings like love, strength, and good fortune. They are super easy to take care of and look stunning, which makes them an excellent gift choice, especially to your greenthumbed loved ones. GREAT HOME DECOR Come in great varieties and colors, succulents do not only add shades of green to your house but they also make great decorations. You can put them in colorful containers, turn them into beautiful centerpieces or use them as material for different DIY projects. A cute succulent pot will brighten up your living space and add an exquisite accent to your garden. IMPROVE AIR CIRCULATION Like normal plants, succulents absorb CO2 then converting it into O2 during the day time. They help you breathe better by filtering out the toxic chemical, purifying the air, and producing more oxygen. Researches also show that succulents aid in quicker recovery by reducing flu-like symptoms, headaches, fever and coughs. Having plants at home or in workplace will improve air quality and make breathing easier. Care Guide Watering Succulents generally need less water than other plants. You should only water your succulents when the soil is completely dry. Tip to check the soil moisture: Insert a chopstick in the soil for 3 minutes. If the chopstick has water mark, the soil is still wet and you should not water it yet.Succulent watering routine heavily depends on the climate (humid or dry). For beginner, we recommend watering your succulent once every 10-14 days.Don't use spray bottle to water your succulent. ONLY water the soil, not the succulents' leaves. Their leaves are bulbous and contain lots of water so they are prone to rot.Every time you water, give your succulents a good soak till water dripping out of the drainage hole.It is better to underwater than overwater them so when in doubt, don't water your succulents. Sunlight Most succulents require at least 4-6 hours of morning sunlight to grow. Some succulents prefer bright but filtered light like Haworthia, others like Echeveria or Cactus love direct sun.Colorful succulents often tolerate direct sun better than green succulents.Succulents that are not used to direct sunlight, such as newly planted succulents or indoor succulents need to be slowly introduced to direct sunlight to avoid temperature shock.Underexposure: Lack of sunlight often results in etiolation and leaves growing downwards. Colorful succulents will lose their vivid color and turn green.Overexposure: Succulents might get sunburned given too much sunlight so it is not recommended to expose your succulents to direct sun when temperature is above 90F. Soil Succulents prefer gritty and well-drained soil. Porous soil is crucial in improving drainage and preventing root rotting in succulents. You can either use cactus mix or prepare the potting medium by mixing organic (eg. dark soil, compost, bark fines) and inorganic components (eg. perlite, granite or pumice) at a 50:50 ratio. Temperature Succulents prefer climate with the temperatures ranging from 60 to 80°F. Some can tolerate temperatures as low as 40°F or as high as 90°F. Extreme temperatures can “stress” succulents into changing color. Most succulents are drought-tolerant. Many varieties can go many days without water. However, high summer heat and direct sun can still damage your succulents by causing brown patches or sunburn on the leaves. Put your succulents in shade when the pot temperature is higher than usual and the leaves turn yellowish. Not all succulents are cold-hardy. Only Sempervivums and some Sedums can withstand frosty weather so make sure to protect your succulents or bring them inside when temperature fall below 40F. Read more FAQ Q. How do you choose your plants? At our nursery, we grow more than 200 varieties of succulents. Each month, our team will handpick 4 unique plants so you won't receive a repeat plant for at least 12 months. Our plants are selected based on seasonality to ensure you get the most out of your subscription. Q. What I should do after receiving my box? If your succulents arrive potted with dry soil, you can leave the plants in the nursery pot and wait 2-3 days before watering them. When watering, please give them a good soak. If your succulents arrive potted with wet soil, the first thing you need to do is to check their leaves and roots' condition. If the succulents look overwatered (yellow, transparent, and soggy leaves), remove the soil from the succulents' root, and let them air dry for 1-2 days before re-potting it in a suitable pot. If the succulents look healthy, you can leave them in the nursery pots and water only when the soil is completely dry. Q. What to do if there is an issue with my order We will gladly offer replacement or refund if your plants arrive broken/ dead. Please reach out ot us immediately within a week of the plant's arrival. Photos of the damage are required. We'll always try our best to accommodate you :)
