  • Fun
Plan Option: Baking Subscription Box
Granddaughter loved her first box. Now she wants to be a baker when she grows up

  • Not worth the money
Plan Option: Baking Subscription Box
I started this for my son, who loves to cook and bake. I thought it would be great because everything is perfectly measured. Many of the kits take items I don't keep regularly stocked, so it became frustrating for him when he wanted to make something as soon as the box arrived. It's actually been some time since I canceled the subscription and realized, I still have 3 kits around because he lost interest in it. You're better off getting a few kids cookbooks and planning things out that way. Less expensive that way. ... show more

  • Fun for kids.
Plan Option: Baking Subscription Box
My 9 year old granddaughter loved the kit. My only complaint is the sprinkles. They were too clumped together. It would have been easier for her if they were in a small bottle so she could sprinkle the sprinkles!

  • Fun and great customer service
Plan Option: Baking Subscription Box
Our first box was an epic disappointment - it arrived damaged (totally smashed) and didn't include the hat and apron you are supposed to get when first subscribing. I contacted customer support via their website, and I received a response within minutes. They apologized and sent out new box which arrived two days later (this time not smashed and with hat and apron). The kit itself was fun for the kiddo, and he enjoyed it, but I'm not sure that the price of the box is in line with the cost of ingredients. $39 to make six cupcakes seemed a little steep to me :) ... show more

  • These main ingredient is SUGAR and chemicals in every single kit!!
Plan Option: Baking Subscription Box
We discontinued the subscription after the 6th go round with cups of sugar as the main ingredient. You include little recipe cards with actual healthy meal ideas…..why not make the kits healthy?

  • BEST FOR KIDS WHO LOVE BAKING FROM SCRATCH
Plan Option: Baking Subscription Box
BEST FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO BAKE FROM SCRATCH: Got our first kit a few days ago. My daughter read the instructions, and said heck, no, even though I got it for her and my seven-year-old granddaughter to do together. So they sent the kit and the granddaughter to me and we did it together. It was strawberry glazed buns, with a nod to monkey bread. The problem is doing bread from scratch, kneading for 8 minutes, letting it rise - twice - at 30 minutes each time, is not something that’s going to keep the interest of most seven-year-old kids. My other problem was the strawberry glaze was awful. For one thing it was orange, not strawberry colored, and it just didn’t taste good. The glaze was such a mess, that I quietly threw the project out as soon as my granddaughter left. Also, I felt like it took almost every pan that I own to make it work. The good news is everything was clearly labeled, easy to open in individual packages already premeasured. We had several fun moments doing it, we had a great sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. Perhaps the other projects are going to send me in the six months I’ve subscribed to this, are going to be a little more non- baking kid friendly. I just think the concept is too much for most seven-year-olds unless they really have expressed a huge interest to learn how to bake from scratch. ... show more
