So these boots are really, really great. I have spent up to $300 on workweights. For my husband he walks all day long. He works 12 to 14 hour shifts. Hello, I bought these boots for work. I thought they would be a bit more rugged from reading the reviews. I knew they were made in china, but the only way to buy a made in USA work boot is to spend well over $100. Most of the trendy work boot names are not made in the USA and cost a lot more than these. What I like, they are steel toe but they do not have a huge toe box, they just look normal. The styling is nice. The comfort is pretty good after a week of break-in, initially they were a little funky feeling. What I don't like, the insoles that come with them are not good, I reused a pair of Dr scholl's from my old boots. The laces are cheap and not going to last, and they are too long. I did not find them slippery as some of the reviews indicated. Overall for $55 they are not bad but certainly not great. I have been wearing them for about 2 months and they are holding up well. I've bought a few boots and these by far are the most "Meh" boots I've ever had. The sole in the boot is fairly thin and god forbid they get soaked for some reason. Look if this company already doesn't, they should start making absorbent cloth out of the material they make these boots out of, because they got wet from a sudden downpour I was caught in and after 4 whole days of not wearing them and setting them out to dry, THEY WERE STILL SOAKED FULLY THROUGH. And since they got fully wet, the sole finally showed the wear and tear 1000 fold because any light touch or slight rub made it crumble slightly. The steel toe is fine and the bottom of the boot has stopped me from puncturing my feet on glass shards and nails countless times, but these boots make sure you feel every step you take after maybe a month of use. Long story short: don't get them wet, give them a week's rest after every day you wear them and you'll be golden. P.S. THESE BOOTS ARE NOT SLIP RESISTANT, I HAVE TO WALK EXTREMELY CAREFULLY OVER AND WET SPOT ANYWHERE. ... show more
