ing an organic option for coffee lovers. The medium roast level is where I usually find my sweet spot, and the Founder's Blend delivers on that front. It's a smooth and balanced cup of coffee that doesn't overwhelm the taste buds. If you prefer a milder flavor profile, this could be a good choice for you. However, when it comes to the taste experience, I found myself wanting a bit more depth. While the coffee is enjoyable, it lacks the complexity and boldness I often seek in a cup of coffee. It's a bit on the safe side in terms of flavor. In terms of packaging, the 12-ounce bag is a practical size, and it does a decent job of preserving the freshness of the beans. My only gripe here is that I've noticed some inconsistency in the freshness of different batches. Some bags seem to lose their vibrancy sooner than expected. All in all, the Founder's Blend by Stumptown Coffee Roasters is a respectable option for those who prefer a milder, more balanced coffee experience. It may not be my personal go-to, but it could definitely find a place in the rotation for those seeking a smoother cup of joe.

Don't sent bags that the freshness date is about to expire...

I am disappointed with the freshness of the coffee... it was roasted in May 2023 and the label it brings says use by Sept 2023... I would rather have a bag of coffee that has not more than a month of been roasted.

We have tried almost every variation of the Stumptown whole beans and pretty much love all of them! Nice, nutty flavors, not overbearing but that smooth coffee taste still comes through. We use the whole beans in our Breville Barista Express espresso machine. Great for a latte or americano Can’t beat

Although I prefer dark roast coffee this medium roast and every variety this company makes will not be a waste of your money. I don't know how they make a coffee with such a amazing taste but they definitely have it going on in a good way.

Roast date four months ago

It's rare for Stumptown to go on sale, so I picked up two bags of their Founder's Blend. It arrived on time but the roast date was in March--a bad sign. I brewed 69 grams in my Moccamaster and was treated to a typical Stumptown flavor profile: Sour, with sour notes and a hint of sourness. There are s
o many great roasters in Portland, and the reviews are right, none of them taste like this; none of them taste this bad. Whatever Stumptown was in 2008, it isn't in 2023. I'll stick to Coava for better Portland coffee, Intelligentsia for better coffee in general, and avoid buying beans on Amazon from now on. There are a lot of other options, don't pick this one and perpetuate the hype.

Hands down my favorite coffee ever

The notes on this coffee are decidedly caramel, vanilla, slight nutty - it's such a smooth yet strong flavor without being too dark and not sour either. Whomstever created this is pure genius. I have only tried it using a bialetti stovetop espresso mokka pot, it makes for a great espresso taste and y
et doesn't taste burnt. It also doesn't seem to be too light of a roast, not too much caffeine or fruity/sourness but rather a caramelized sugar taste. I have tried dozens of high end roasts including local roasters and I've signed up for a subscription to this immaculate blend.

I love this coffee! rich taste and aroma. suitable for both coffee machines and geyser coffee makers. strong but not too bitter. does not have a pronounced sour aftertaste like pure Arabica. My favorite morning coffee.

Didn't live up to expectations

Price changed Drastically

I originally placed a 5 star Review on this Hollar Mountain Stumptown coffee, but I am Changing my 5 to 4 star. Though it is fantastic great tasting coffee. It went from $14,97 to a whopping $28.97. A huge price change drastically which is double to what I paid for a 12oz. One 12oz whole bean bag of
this is now $28. I cannot get myself to pay that for only 12oz bag in just a few weeks after paying only $14.97 for it. No this will not be my take. Even though it is good coffee, there's no reason to price gouge this in just a matter of 4 weeks. Totally ridiculous

I'm writing this review because I found this coffee from Fresh Market and had a great experience. It makes for a wonderful pour over and decent espresso shot. However, I'm giving this product a one star for flavor because when I got the bag, I only had about 2 weeks left to use it before the beans go
t stale according to the roast date. I'm not disappointed with Stumptown or the flavor by any means, but more or less the time constraint I had to use the beans. This seems to be a trend amongst other coffee reviews ordered off Amazon. Word to the wise, when buying coffee beans online ground/whole, I wouldn't recommend Amazon if you can help it because you really don't know if you're getting a fresh bag or perhaps one that has seen better days.
