The spool has a rubber band around it which keeps the line from getting out of control, there’s a slot that tightly holds the loose end and it has a clear cylindrical plastic box/canister that it goes into when you are done keeping everything nice and neat. All this is super helpful. The line itself is very clear and stretchy. It cannot hold more than 50 pounds. I put my weight on it as a test and it broke easily. I used this item to hang these Halloween decorations. We had a lot of rain and wind and I noticed they lagged a little. That may also have been my fault, maybe I needed to tie it tighter. However, the company quickly responded and informed me that the crimping sleeves were inside the barrel, which they were there and can't be seen unless you open the package and look inside.
