  • Keeps my thread from pooling
I have multiple spool holder on my embroidery machine. This keeps the thread from pooling during use. It's easy to cut to size for any spool and is very soft.

  • lifetime supply of yarn stockings
I use these to hold together a ball of yarn I've wound from a skein, so it doesn't get loose and unwind while I knit. The mesh material is nice and strong, very silky smooth and expands to a great diameter - I'd guess it could accommodate up to 8 inches, maybe more. It works perfectly and I can't imagine ever using more than 20% of what I bought! I cut off about 6-7" to cover one yarn ball and there's no reason not to re-use them, so I might be re-selling some of this. I told my husband to try to think of things he could use it for too. ... show more

  • Works great on all sizes of spools.
I bought this for my larger spools that spool clasps are not made for. The sheerness of this holds the thread end better than the larger woven socks I have received in the past. Lots of it for a reasonable price and have plenty left over after cutting it to size for my spools. Also I can cut these to the actual size I need and have not overhang on the top or bottom of spool. Hint: cut these about the height of the wound thread on the spool works better for me that way . ... show more

  • Works as intended
I used this product to cover spools on my serger. Seems to work as intended. The length is nice so you can cut to fit different spool sizes. One thing I noticed is that when I tried to stretch the mesh open to fit over the spool before applying, it remained stretched out and didn't really rebound. I found it better to just slide it on over the spools and let it stretch as I was applying so the fit was more snug and form-fitting. So, if you're looking for a product with a lot of elasticity and rebound, this might not be it. I don't really know what will happen with the mesh when the spool starts to get a lot thinner, like if it will contract or just remain stretched out. For the price and quantity it worked fine for me, and if I end up needing to replace some on a spool I have plenty. ... show more

  • Love this
Just think of all the mesh nets that I threw away that came on my garlic. I especially like it for my large cone embroidery threads

  • Soft and Fits Well
I bought this for the purpose of keeping this Extremely slippery and thin 100% microfiber yarn on the spool. It was just slipping off in gobs and tangling horribly. I couldn't imagine how I would be able to use the yarn while keeping it untangled and on the spool. First I tried wrapping it with cellophane. Then this was my usable solution. I was worried for some products seemed thick and stiff. I was looking for something similar to what came with my sewing machine for thread spools. I can keep this net on while using the yarn as well. ... show more
