Description

From the Manufacturer While designing and testing the Hy-Road™ we kept in mind that we needed to maintain the superior on-lane performance that has come expected from the Thunder Line™ of bowling balls. Our desired outcome was to create a bowling ball that strategically placed itself in-between the T-Road Solid™ and T-Road Pearl™. What better way to do so than combine the two coverstocks, hence creating a hybrid coverstock. By utilizing the ever so powerful Inverted Fe² Technology for theweight block, we knew that we could create the mid-lane read needed to handle a medium-heavy lane condition. By encasing the weight block inside the R2S™ Hybrid coverstock, we found the perfect balance between its two predecessors. We found the Hybrid to be a great go-to ball once the T-Road Solid™ is too much. It gives you better mid- lane control than the Pearl. The reaction can be described as the ultimate benchmark reaction, mid-lane read with a predictable hook motion.

  • Must be good
I liked it quite a bit for the first 4 months. Then somebody stole it. Imagine that...stealing a bowling ball? It must have been better than even I thought.

  • Buy This Ball
Fantastic ball! Provides solid contact and a great hook! My first bowling ball purchase that brought me into the 200's in my games. Will absolutely buy again if anything happens to the one I have now. 100% Recommended

  • Great bowling ball.
Bowled my highest so far with this ball. My proshop guy said it's the go-to ball for lots of people and they swear by it. I am a believer. Am considering getting the pearl version now as well.

  • Husband likes it
Bought for my husband to get him away from using house balls and to help him find his throw style. He likes it well enough. The ball reacts well on medium oil lanes, with a long, smooth arc but a pretty decent hook in the back end.

  • ... have the 15lb hyroad and this is just a fantastic all around ball
I have the 15lb hyroad and this is just a fantastic all around ball. Best for dry to medium conditions. It'll struggle getting to the pocket if there is a lot of oil. Storm has been making this guy for almost 10 years now and there is a reason. If you're new to finger tip bowling skip the tropical storm line and go straight to this. It's not too aggressive, but packs enough punch to be your go to ball on a typical house shot. Side note: this thing has a STRONG scent. I think it's raspberries but my friend said it smelled like fruity pebbles puke haha. It'll stink up your home or car even if its in the trunk. Dont worry though the scent dies off after a few months. ... show more

  • I really like the ball but it is very aggressive
I really like the ball but it is very aggressive. I am high rev so I sometimes have trouble keeping it on the pro side. I'm still practicing and learning to control it. When I get it right it's awsome! When I miss my spots its frustrating. On real oily lanes its spot on ! On dry lanes its impossible to keep on pro side with my two handed spin. ... show more
