We wanted a chair for reading and relaxing in a corner of our master bedroom. All the chairs at our local furniture stores were $500 or more, and we didn't want to spend that much. This chair turned out to be the perfect choice, even though we are WAY past having any babies in our lives. It was easy for the two of us to assemble, and it seems to be a very well-built chair. I am 5'4" and I find the seats of many chairs to be too deep, requiring me to put a pillow between my back and the back of the chair. That isn't necessary with this chair -- it fits me very nicely. Seat is comfortable. I added a cushion with a slight slant to it. Be aware there is no locking device on the rocker part. So, the seat is always potentially moving. I probably would not have ordered this particular rocker had I done my due diligence in researching my need. The ties that hold the back cushion in place came off within 2 days so the cushion just sags and looks sad. Bottom line is that it is useable but I would spend more if I do this again ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This rocking chair is beautiful and very easy to assemble :-) The reason it was easy to assemble is because my husband put it together :-) We don't have a very big guestroom so this chair is perfect for smaller spaces.
