I’ve now played Wyrmspan three separate times and absolutely love it! If you enjoyed Wingspan you will not only like Wyrmspan, but also be impressed by how much further in engine-building strategy it goes. I played two, three, and four player games to test it out and enjoyed each experience. The game is designed quite well with only a few things my friends and family thought could have been better (e.g. cave cards are colored as if they should match cave types, but the colors are irrelevant - that threw some off). Like Wingspan, it can seem overwhelming and tough for inexperienced players to approach at first, but once you simplify the game down to its core components and start playing, it is easy to pick up. There is a lot to keep track of with score progress, but we found the games were close regardless of what strategies everyone tried to employ for their playmat and the dragons they enticed. Overall, wonderfully designed game that we will be returning to much more in the future. Highly recommend it for those that liked Wingspan, but want to try something new. ... show more

    • For when you play too much wingspan
It’s a fine game, for when you’ve played enough wingspan. If you ah ent played wingspan, get that instead, it’s a better game, but if you play wingspan often enough, this is a nice alternative.
