I own two of these (working on a third lol). The first was a gray 89" purchased in 2022 that we were using in our living room until the cognac became available. I ordered the cognac three weeks ago and it got here a few days ago. I don't know if this is only for the leather furniture or something they introduced in 2023, but the cognac version comes with a zipper halfway up the couch so you can zip the cushions to the couch to prevent the cushions from sagging. Absolute game changer!! That was many reviewers complaint and it looks like S&B listened. I didn't mind the sag, but I could see how people wouldn't like it. Not sure if this is a leather only feature, but it's a very nice addition. Overall we love these couches. They are huge, super comfy, easy to clean and high quality. I wash these cushion covers from my gray couch every few months, and it always comes out like new. No pilling for the fabric ever which was a problem for our other Amazon company couch, Rivet something or other. The leather looks legit from what I can see and it smells like it as well. Not sure if the couch itself is, but the cushions are definitely leather. Like I said, we are going to buy either the loveseat or the smaller couch in cognac once we get some more cash. If I could I would buy another for our loft, but the gray couch already takes up the whole room. I would say buy this couch if you want to put your head back and sink into heaven. It's meant to be comfortable and not for conversing with guests. Also, my mom slept on this one day when we had a bunch of family members over and she says it sleeps well so you can absolutely use the 89" as a backup bed. ... show more

    • Great Sofa, but let's talk about "Leather"

So, I bought the 89" sofa in Cognac Leather. The sofa is huge. It's really, really comfortable! But, is it leather? It feels like leather. It has a very faint leather smell. I suspect it is a material called "PU Leather"... This is split-grain leather with a layer of polyurethane on the surface. That means it is highly stain resistant and easy to clean, but it won't be as tough over the long haul as real leather. But it does appear to be very well made. It’s not RH, but it’s very comfortable and sleek and elegant. If you know me, then you know that I love all things elegant. Honestly, this was one of my best purchases of 2022. Prior to this sofa, I bought a mirror RH dupe, so I have experience in this area. This sofa holds its own and is gorgeous. I should do a video on YT. I’ve had this for 2 years and for most of this week I slept on it and realized it’s more comfortable than my bed, so thought I’d finally write this review. It’s a solid large and comfortable sofa and held up well. Like the other reviews said, stuff sticks to it but it’s also super easy to wash. It’s completely stain free after washing with two years of use. I have a 6, 4 and 1 yr old, I cannot say enough good things about this couch and love seat! They look great just like the pictures! Comfortable and snuggly with just the right amount of give but cushions are also a little firm so they hold their shape. You can unzip the vushions if you want to wash them, buy we havent needed to yet. We have lots of family movie nights- popcorn and drinks, even smoothies have been dumped on it and everything wipes off with just a wet microfiber rag! My son had a scrape on his knee and blood got on the couch, wiped right off! IMO best couch ever! ... show more

It’s a very comfortable sofa, however it could look a little bulky for a small apartment. I’m also a little disappointed that it is one piece - made it very difficult for the delivery men to make it through the relatively narrow stairs and doors of my apartment (it was so difficult that I didn’t ask for return). So take off one stars for one-piece and being a bit bulky look. The comment is personal though, it might look good to others, just that I expected to be lighter. ... show more

I was very hesitant about buying furniture online. This worked out great and I love this sofa (and chair). I had been looking for leather, and the price and quality can’t be beat on this one (I looked all over)! And it’s so easy to clean with a 110lb furry dog! By far one of the best decisions I have made. Not only is it a game changer for cleaning (in my case) but it looks great too!
