    • Excellent heavy duty head, not sure about the handle yet
I have a large front and back yard that require a lot of attention when it comes to the weeding and I have owned two other Hula hoes prior to this one. I can highly recommend owning one in general, but this one is fantastic at the tool head. It is wayyyy more heavy duty and thicker than usual so it is really solid when it cuts into the dirt. Other hula hoes have a bit more flex and give (a bit tinny) which requires more effort and force when swinging downward, which this specific brand reduces. The tines and hoe edges are SHARP! Assembly was pretty self explanatory, but I am not a fan of the fact that it is not one whole unit/pole. I didn't take any stars off because I understand the packing and shipping aspects of the design, and it still functions well despite the multiple pieces. I'm a little short so I kept one of the sections out of it. It's pretty long once put together and at the spots where you join the pole have rubber grips that help while you work. I may just end up getting a different solid or fiberglass pole, but that's just a personal preference. Overall, I am very impressed and satisfied that this is so heavy duty! ... show more

If you're looking to save some space on a cultivator and hoe this might do the trick. Very easy to put together you're just screwing together 4 parts. The head feels durable and good enough for a regular sized garden. A few issues are that the joints you screw into are made of plastic. I'm not sure how long that will last overtime. Since the handle isn't one piece the joints can become loose and you have to retighten the thing again. ... show more

    • Easy To Use
I had this assembled and ready to use in just a few minutes which is nice. The tool does a good job with both the hoe and claw sides. Even in dry soil I was able to quickly cut through weeds in my mother's garden with the hoe side and then quickly till up the same soil with the claw. My 75 year old mother had no issue with using the tool and seemed to enjoy the ease of weeding. It's light enough that virtually anyone can use it with general ease. My only complaint is that the handle sections didn't want to stay together and started to unscrew. I felt I had to really tighten them done hard - a little concerning as the handle is fairly thin walled metal. Overall, it gets the job done and is easy to use. This hoe/rake combo is awesome. I can use this to quickly work in my garden/yard to take out weeds, and save my back while doing it. The tool is sharp, and feels durable. The tool itself feels the most durable, while the length portion/handle feels like it's a cheaper/lighter kind of metal or alloy. Assembling this hoe/rake combo was a bit difficult, even though it should be very easy. The hole to place the screw and nut in wasn't properly aligned, so I had to spend about 10 minutes of bending, pushing, and manipulating of the handles, just to securely get the screw and nut in place. There weren't any instructions included, and that's perfectly fine, as it's self explanatory how to assemble this. ... show more

    • Great adjustability in one tool
This garden tool was very easy to assemble. I didn’t need to ask my husband for help putting it together. It adjusts for use for different heights so both my husband, myself, and grandchildren can use it. The rake part can be used both in the garden at regular height and in my large flower pots in its shortest length. My husband remarked that it’s great that it’s not too heavy for me to use comfortably, but he hope it holds up well as it doesn’t seem extremely sturdy. ... show more

    • good combo use, not as heavy duty as I hoped though
the tool is a great combo for effective weeding, however I don't know if i would necessarily consider this "heavy duty". the tool head is heavy duty, but the handle with the telescoping feature is a bit on the weak side, especially at the connections. I will likely end up putting a normal wood handle on this when the handle eventually breaks :) ... show more

The Stirrup Hoe and Cultivator Rake for Weeding works well. The rake came in numerous sections and was simple to put together. It has a strong handle and rake. It does a pretty good job of pulling out the weeds. The handle top does slide off easily. The handle is slightly slippery and hard to keep hold of.     • Nice, but not heavy duty
We like this. It’s full length is which helps. Assembly was easy as most parts screw together and then there is a bolt for attaching the bottom to the pole. I took. A star though because the handle/pole is plastic. Granted, this is just for weeds—but no way I’d say this plastic handle is heavy duty and gonna last the test of time with serious use. ... show more
