    • Inexpensive learning remote for NON ROLLING CODE RF433 remote cloning
I got these as additional controls for a gate and backyard doors triggered by DieseRC receivers. Unlike other similar remotes I have used in the past that used button cells, these use a type 27A 12V battery and the remotes come without battery, so you first need to install a battery -- not the easiest task. In order to install the battery, you need to remove three screws that hold together the button side and the back side of the remote, sandwiching the PC board and a metal frame. The PC board features a rectangular hole for the 27A battery, with tabs at each end. The spring (minus) tab is unfortunately poorly designed and on both remotes that I opened, it was bent in such a way that the tab holding the spring was stuck in the PC board battery hole, making it absolutely impossible for the battery to fit (I ended up breaking the fragile end of the PC board, ruining the remote -- STFALI, if you read this review, feel free to send me a replacement, it will be much appreciated!) So, I got smart and bent the tab slightly on the second remote so that it would clear the opening, and was able to fit the battery and put the remote back together, although the process was unnecessarily difficult. Once the battery is installed, you need to clear the remote memory and then clone existing remotes to the A, B, C or D buttons. To clear the remote memory, you need to press and hold A and B until the light flashes three times, then let go of either key and press it three times. The light will flash and the memory is reset. All you need to do now is take the learning remote in one hand and the remote to clone in the other, close to each other, press and hold the button to clone, then press and hold the button to clone to (A, B, C or D) until the light flashes, and you're done. Repeat the process for all four buttons. In summary: - These are CLONING REMOTES for RF433 non-rolling remotes. You need an existing remote to clone; you cannot directly pair them to a DieseRC receiver. A benefit is that you are not limited by the receiver's memory since you're cloning an already paired code. - They use a 27A battery, NOT INCLUDED. Installing the battery could be easier. - They're great if you understand their features and limitations. - THESE REMOTES WILL NOT WORK WITH THE VAST MAJORITY OF GARAGE DOOR OPENERS manufactured within the past 30 years. - Check out DieseRC for compatible receivers and remotes to clone. ... show more

They arrived dead. None of them work. Not even the led light came on. Totally dead. I am assuming No battery or they are just plain junk. DO NOT BUY.
