I bought 3 plastic kits and 3 wooden kits for my 9th grade science class of English Language learners who are from all parts of the world. I was a bit concerned about directions with their limited English, but the pictures were excellent! Every student was able to get their machine together with minimal help. The plastic kits were a bit more frustrating as they involved small screws. It took longer to get those machines together. Just for time, if I purchase these again for a class I will get the wooden ones. The wooden ones would be good for younger children as well. I bought this thinking you could build ONE of the items. But it includes parts for all 4! My 9 y/o nephew loved them, although fitting some of the pieces together took more coordination than he had, so it was a team effort!

the items were easy to build for my son but they have zero durability. every items wires disconnected and unfixable within 24 hours of construction.
