Easy Operation: 1. Rotate the nozzle head, and open the steamer. And then fill the tank with cold water to the desired level(not exceed the maximum level line). When you finish filling, lock the head back on. 2. Turn the ON/OFF switch to the ON position. The switch light indicates the steamer is on. The steamer will emit steam from nozzle in 2 minutes. 3. After about 10 minutes of continuous steaming, or the steamer runs out of the water, it will reset automatically to ensure your safety while leaving the indicator light ON. 4. When you are finished with your steaming session place the ON/OFF switch in the OFF position and remove the plug from the outlet. Notes: 1. Only fill the tank with cold water, do not use hot water. Distilled water is recommended. 2. Never turn the unit upside down. Your Travel Garment Steamer should never be tilted past a 45-degree angle especially when the unit is ON. This is the first steamer I've ever owned. It works fairly decent for shirts/blouses (that's what I bought it for primarily), not sure how it would work on heavier and larger items. It does take a while to get the wrinkles & creases out and you have to hold up right next to the fabric. Maybe this is how they all work. I was very content with the product when I initially purchased it, but recently I noticed blue bubbles on the area that heats up. I didn't think much of it and scrubbed it with a toothbrush, but a white stain remained. I poured water inside like usual and suddenly I heard a weird noise and water started leaking from the bottom and it truly sounded like it was going to explode. I immediately disconnected the steamer from the outlet and came to Amazon to request a refund. Turns out that the return window closed and now I can no longer use this product.
