    • An effective, compact, convenient, and well-made steam generator with notable attention to details.
The media could not be loaded. I included a video to give you a better look at this steam generator, and to also give you something of a demo so you can get a better impression as to what you are getting if you order this unit made by Yashe. To begin I will give you some quick background. Some years back I purchased a top-notch steam station made by Rowenta – it’s basically a high-end iron attached to a steam generation base unit. It pumps an amazing volume of steam through the iron and at pretty impressive pressures as well. It is great for pressing clothes and removing wrinkles on something of a professional level – it’s an awesome machine. It is however, a bit large and somewhat cumbersome, so for occasions when I just need steam and no iron to press with, well, it’s a bit inconvenient, and that is why I wanted to try out this hand-held, 1500-watt steam generator from Yashe. This little hand-held unit is compact, portable, quick, and easy to use. Simply fill the reservoir with water, attach it to the steam generator, plug it in and turn it on. In the span of less than a minute you are in business generating steam on either a “low” or “high” setting. As to functionality, it pumps out an impressive amount of steam for a small unit – not as much or at the same pressure of my bigger Rowenta system, but it’s still impressive and it gets the job done of relaxing fibers to get wrinkles out of clothing and materials. The unit has an eight-foot power cord, plenty for most scenarios, and the overall build quality looks and feels to be excellent. There is a small touch panel with LED indicators for powering it on and for selecting the high/low settings. There is also a selection for self-cleaning on the panel as well. The flow of steam is controlled by a trigger on the handle portion – just press it and steam will flow until you press it again to stop the flow. As to some notable details, the bottom of the unit’s reservoir has a silicone/rubber base, so when you place the steam generator down on a hard surface, it resists sliding around. The entire unit is also well balanced, stable when placed down, and has good overall ergonomics making it pleasant and comfortable to use. The design of the unit also allows for it to be used in both vertical and horizontal orientations as well. Lastly, there is an LED light that illuminates the interior of the reservoir anytime the unit is powered on so it is easy to assess how much water you have remaining. Overall, I find this to be an excellent unit. Keep in mind of course that it will not replace a full-blown steam-generating ironing station like my Rowenta, but it is a heck of a lot more convenient and quick if you just need steam that is portable, fast and ready to go in very short order. I cannot help but feel that the current price of $70 is perhaps a touch on the high side, but regardless, I still feel that this Yashe steam generator is a five-star product. ... show more

    • Great steamer!
We loved it so much myself and my wife, works great, although it go thru the water tank sort of fast but it sure does get the job done, no more wrinkled cloth with this easy to use steamer, great buy!

    • Good steamer, well-made, portable but not for travel
I have a full-size professional steamer that I have used for years and consider irons a thing of the past. So my interest here was in finding a steamer that I could travel with - especially as I was traveling to a wedding and wanted to be able to show up without excessive wrinkles. I used to have a cheap portable travel steamer that did the job, but took forever to steam a single garment. This one does a much better job than that old travel steamer - and without the spitting & spotting, but I think it's too big & awkardly shaped to practically travel with. It does not fold, so it's much more bulky than some hairdryers. I'm just taking a star off for the not-for-travel aspect of it. Otherwise, this pumps out good steam, relatively quickly, and with no real spitting or sizzling - and seems easy and straight forward to use. And it feels pretty darned solid & well-made - which is why I think it has a higher price tag than the lighter, more travel-friendly models (which often feel like cheap plastic and will spit, etc.) As a portable steamer, this is really for when you just have 1-2 items to steam - not for your laundry. Get a bigger pro-like model for that. So, in a nutshell, I think this is a good solid steamer that does the job well & quickly, but I think it's too big & heavy to travel with - and otherwise definitely recommend it. ... show more

    • Very Nice Compact Steamer
This steamer is small and compact and works really well. It worked just as well as the stand-up steamer that we have but it is much smaller and easier to use. The instructions say that it is a "Travel" steamer and I would not really agree with that. Yes, it's compact, but it's still a bit big for traveling. And there is no bag to transport it in. Also, if it were a travel steamer, I might expect it to be cordless for convenience. This is not cordless. Still, it works really well and it's a lot more handy to use than my stand-up steamer. ... show more

    • Perfect for vintage clothes selling!
I don't really wear clothes that need to be ironed or steamed, and when I travel I make sure not to bring anything that gets wrinkled. I got rid of my iron and my ironing board a couple years ago. Recently I added vintage clothing to my online shop, and they sell really well. Unfortunately, making sure they appear beautiful in the photos requires getting rid of all those wrinkles. I tried to steam a linen dress. It made me desperate. NO WAY IS THIS FASTER THAN AN IRON. Useless.

    • Great steamer
This is a very nice hand-held steamer. It heats up quickly and holds enough water. I wouldn't call it a travel steamer; it is a little too large for that. But it is nice and sturdy and stands up by itself. Good choice for hand-helds!

This is a great tool to have when you need to quickly steam clothing. The water receptacle is fairly large and can hold a lot of water. The attachments are nice to have for different scenarios. It has a long cord making it more functional. It is very durable and will last a long time.
