It arrived undamaged. Heavy little sucker ! Got it unpacked, threw the mufflers on, plugged it in, opened drain, adjusted output, and fired it up. Let it run 3 minutes with the drain open and shut it down. Closed the drain and fired up again. Got to 80 psi pretty quick. I had a 1 gallon California Air Tools compressor. It was quiet but weak. Good for one tire before it cycled again. This thing is just as quiet, but way more volume and pressure. Didn't need a 20 gallon which would take way longer to fill. This is the perfect size ! The compressor arrived on time. When it came, I did notice the box was a little torn up and mangled. Advice to the seller is that this could use a little packaging because the cardboard box gets completely crushed in shipping. The good news is that this is an excellent seller. I sent a message to tell them about the packaging and that the knobs had broken apart in shipping. Without any further communication, they sent me two new replacement knobs. Excellent service, thanks! The compressor is sweet. I like the shape of it, and it is easy to wheel around. The last compressor I had was a CH13 gallon that was 15 years old. It was long, awkward, and it was deafening. This compressor is very quiet compared to that one. It runs in the garage at night, and it is not a nuisance to people in or out of the house for sure. I also noticed that it does not leak or bleed off air over time. It holds pressure for long periods with no loss even with a hose with an air nozzle attached. I like the capacity 12 gallons and ease of use of this compressor, and you can't beat it for the price. Now I don't know where the manufacture gets that this unit is quite????? Sure, when the motor if off is very quiet, but that's about it. Is as noisy as any other air compressor don't be fooled. Also, very heavy to move around, thanks for the two wheels. So far with very lightly use it's been ok, time will tell. Lucky for me, mine arrived in one piece with no damage parts. Estrange thing the motor stops running at 90 psi, honestly, I haven't read the manual completely. ... show more

When I received this, the air pressure regulator knob was defective, but the vendor went above and beyond to make things right, and I will absolutely go back to them with future needs. The compressor is amazing. I watched some videos, but they simply can't do it justice. My old pancake compressor would run loud and long. I'd have ear muffs on to protect my hearing. With this compressor, I can stand next to it with my wife and have a conversation. Once you've experienced it, you'll see what I mean. Looking back now, I wish I would have bought the 20 gallon model, but that could also just be the tool-man part of me wanting something bigger and more powerful if it's available. lol Cannot recommend this enough! ... show more

Received it with no shipping damage. The regulator would creep up in pressure setting by 30-60lbs from its set point till you used it again, then it would go back to setpoint while in use. This did not seem correct. Contacted the company and no hassle they sent me a new regulator and it fixed the issue. Overall, I have enjoyed this compressor and much quieter than my pancake compressor. Pumps up pretty fast for a small compressor. I have no complaints with it currently after three weeks. Always starts up fine and running it on a 15 amp breaker with no issues. So far very happy and I am one to scrutinize my purchases. ... show more

I'll start by saying the compressor itself seems to be working. It builds and holds pressure. It doesn't seem to leak. It doesn't seem especially quiet as compared to any other compressor I've owned. I wasn't home when it arrived - the box looked pretty beaten up. At first I thought it might have taken a tumble somewhere, but this was not the cause of the damage. This box has obviously been opened before. Things were not repackaged properly afterward, just shoved back in the box. One of the fasteners for the handle is missing - replaced with a cheap standard bolt. No manual. Ripped open plastic bags that contained parts or something at some point, just floating around in the box. Styrofoam around the unit broken. This was clearly a return/refurbished unit. It was sold to me as new. But it's working, and it's also just heavy enough, and just a pain in the ass enough, that I'm not going to try to wrestle it back into the box and lug it off somewhere to return it. It'd probably just end up sold to the next unsuspecting customer as a new unit anyway. There are lots of vendors selling similar compressors. This is nothing special. Find an honest vendor and buy one there instead. ... show more

I ordered this Stealth 12 gallon air compressor from Amazon a few weeks prior to this review. When it arrived the regulator knob was broken, apparently during shipping, and was inoperable. I tried numerous times to contact the manufacturer for a replacement knob to repair the compressor. I really did not want to return the item. Despite all attempts to email, call, or live-chat with a representative, and several messages left; all have been unsuccessful. So I returned it to Amazon for a refund. But I really liked the features and price of this compressor, so I purchased another one from my local Home Depot. That one was a little scuffed up and the air filter canisters were a little bent, but it worked and I decided to keep it. They do not package these well for shipping, so do not be surprised if yours arrives damaged. And if it is damaged do not expect any help from the manufacturer (Amazon was great in the return process, by the way). But, if it does arrive undamaged, you will have a really good, and very quiet, air compressor. ... show more
