It didn’t snap into place as solid as the original switch but it worked that was al that mattered for the time being, the mower sits outside all the time so only time will tell how well it holds up compared to the original that worked for 10 plus years

    • worked but did not function like the original
The safety lockout when going in reverse did not work, the blades stayed engaged when in reverse. Put the original back in and the safety lockout functioned properly. The mower would not turn over so I replaced the key and solenoid which did not resolve the problem. Found out that the PTO switch also had a safety lockout. Replaced it and mower started. ... show more

    • Safety concern, ROS is disabled with this switch
Functionally this switch operates, however with the standard ROS system you are required to turn the switch back one position for mowing in both forward and reverse. On these switches, the function is reversed. You can mow in forward and reverse in the forward only position, and only in forward in the reverse position. This is a huge safety concern and should be looked into before a small animal or child is mowed over. ... show more

This new switch doesn't fit into the wiring all the way, feels like it's going to fall out after a bumpy riding mower experience . The older one that I replace the stabs on the new switch ( prongs ) are a little longer than my old one. It does start the mower every time and engages the hydrostat mower that I have, starts every time and has a smoother turn to it, my worry is about it falling off because it doesn't bottom out when you plug the wiring harness in to this switch.. Small gap ( 1/16th of an inch ) shows . it should 'snap' into place , but mine doesn't. I'm not about to file down 7 prongs to get a good fit. Hope it holds up ! Sorry about the photo that switch is way up deep in the housing of the riding mower. Best i can do. You can see the brass color of the prong, all 7 are like this. Question: Does the switch work ? Answer: Yes it does, but it's not a tight fit. ... show more
