The srars lights are the best. Music it's ok, I would rather prefer a classical music r natural sounds selection. There is one natural sound track with water and birds but it could be better. Overall it's a good product for the price. My baby is only 7 months and he has been enjoying the lights for 2 months already. I don't think he cares about the music at this point. But I do think the happy birthday and Christmas songs are way overrated and unnecessary. Again, the light projector it's great and that was the main reason I got it for. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Changes colors from yellow to multicolored, the moon can multiply by 3 (showing 3 moons if you’d like) or single moon. You can either choose for the projector to rotate or stay still. You can set the timer for up to 5 hours. Various songs from Christmas songs to lullabies. Remote requires 2 AAA batteries. I tried to use the projector with just batteries but the batteries didn’t last at all. So now I use the cord. The cord is not to charge, the cord is what allows the projector to function. So you must keep the cord plugged in the entire time the projector is on. Do not make the mistake of thinking its “charging” and then unplug it because it won’t function. The projector itself has an on & off button at the back and other buttons (in the front) so you can use the remote with it or manually change settings on the projector directly. I highly recommend it! You may also put a song on repeat by pressing on the repeat button for a couple seconds. Do not immediately lift your finger. Having said that, I am very satisfied with it and so are my children. No more being scared of the dark. This is so much better and soothing than a regular extremely bright lamp. ... show more

    • Music rotation is very odd

The star projection is fine. My kids love it and it has the usual red, green, blue, and combination color choices. The remote is ok. Doesn’t work great from too far away but it has all the controls you need right there. The music however is interesting to say the least. I’ve shared a room with my kids while this rotated through the music and it has a few songs that a good for sleep (typical music box style lullaby/ classical songs). Then it throws in songs that are sung. “Dashing through the snow” is sung, in an accent, with slightly off lyrics. It’s actually a little comical when you’re not expecting it but does not help you sleep. The other is the bird noises. You’ll be asleep or nearly asleep and then these loud bird chirps start ringing out. Not soothing bird singing but loud constant bird chirps. If you pick one song and repeat it then it’s fine but the rotation isn’t, in my opinion, great for sleep. It’s good for a laugh the next morning, but not sleep. (Although my kids did sleep through the bootleg Xmas carols and bird attack just fine). ... show more

    • Good Light Options. Bad Design for SD Card

So, I liked that this included an SD card that I could add my own songs to. However, the design of it is poor. It doesn't lock into place. It feels like it should click into place, but instead it will fly back out if you try to do that. There is no cover to hold it in place either. You have to get a piece of duct tape, literally, and tape it over the micro SD card to hold it in place. Only then will you be able to use it. Also, the volume isn't as loud as cheaper white noise make options. If you want something for the lights, this is nice, but other than that, don't bother. ... show more

I have this in my boys' room and they love it. They had a previous star globe from a different brand that we had for 2 years until the lights started burning out and it started making a grinding sound that could be heard from another room. This one has some nice features like a timer, music, remote, and operates quietly. It provides enough light in the room to work as a night light, but dark enough the kids have no problem going to sleep. The buttons and remote are also easy to figure out. Our previous one just had buttons labeled A, B, and C so it was a guessing game what functions they were. The boys also love getting to choose the colors of the stars each night. ... show more
