We picked this set of light saber salt and pepper shakers for my daughters father who is a HUGE star wars fan. I wanted to get him some fan stuff but something that he would be able to use all the time and not just another toy that he would look at once and put on a shelf to collect dust. These were perfect! They are pretty large and heavy and look like the handle of a blue and red light saber. They were easy to open my holding the bottom and turning the top to put the batteries in. You will need a total of 8 AA batteries for these bad boys though, which I thought was a tad excessive, but they don't get used ALL the time consistently so they should be able to last you a while. They are cute and easy to use however the one thing I was not impressed with is the fact that there ARE lights on the grinder end of each of these savers but I do not understand why they did not make it be able to light up the red and blue portions of the grinders. That would have made it SUPER cool so I was pretty disappointed with that, but happy to have something Star Wars novelty that will be used daily for a while to come. ... show more

Was mainly purchased for style but pleasantly surprised they actually work really well as salt and pepper grinders. I use coarse pink salt and fancy pepper balls in them. Had a salt shaker quit on me but was quickly replaced and have not had any issues with them these last couple months. A must for any star wars fans. ... show more

As a star wars fan I wanted these for display but they work better than I expected. They do a good job of grinding salt and pepper however I only gave it 4 stars because the container to put salt and pepper in is fairly small. It does have to be filled up much more then the other salt and pepper grinders but other then that they are much cooler. ... show more

These work great and I like the lights. I wish there was a little more capacity to hold the salt and pepper. A little overpriced for the function but they are neat to have for a Star Wars fan!

Well made and work well. Easy to adjust the grind, and refill/change batteries. Only downside is batteries don’t really last that long, but I’m willing to deal with that to use these daily!!!!
