We bought these about 15 months ago and use both at least once a day. Battery life is decent. It works well to grind the salt and pepper. I like especially fresh ground pepper and the convenience of not needing both hands to grind it. One dispenser stopped working at 15 months. We cleaned it, changed batteries, check position of batteries etc. After three of us tried troubleshooting (with some help from the internet) we decided to buy another set. They are not that expensive and have worked well until now. We will give it another try. ... show more

The first set we get, one didn’t turn on at all and we were able to get a replacement. This second set, the salt stopped working after 3 months. When it worked it was great, but clearly this is a defective product based on this experience with two sets and other reviews.
