  • Better Than Great Stuff
Size: 12 Pack Style: LOW TEMP GAP FILLER
Bigger cans, better "grab", and cheaper than Great Stuff (at least when I purchased it a week ago). Downside is that the price has TRIPLED in a week - I paid $87 a week ago. I definitely would NOT purchase this for $220 - that is just outrageous!!

  • New use for Stanley Black Spray Foam
Size: 1 Pack Style: BLACK SPRAY FOAM
The intended use for this product is as an adhesive to stick together concrete blocks of various types. The foam is used for concrete block soil retainers and for decorative placement of rocks around pools. The product is clearly suitable for such applications and their are many videos on-line showing use of this product. The new user of this product needs to know that it is necessary to buy a "spray foam gun" (many foam guns are available on Amazon -- do a search). You also need to buy a can of spray foam cleaner such as "Kraken Bond Spray Foam Cleaner" -- available on amazon. The spray foam cleaner can screws directly onto the foam gun after you have removed the can of black spray foam. Give the gun a couple of quick squeezes and the innards of the gun will be cleaned out. Trying to clean out the gun with the usual solvents does not work very well -- you really need the special spray foam cleaner. Don't let the used spray gun sit around uncleaned -- Use the spray cleaner within 10-15 minutes after spraying the foam for best results. Here is a new use for this product. I live in an area that has fierce 60 to 90 mile per hour winds that drive fine snow and sleet right through my attic roof shingle vents. Most asphalt single roofs these days have a special capping shingle that includes a roof top vent. The material that blocks the rain from coming in works well if there are moderate wind/rain/snow conditions. Under high wind conditions the fine snow and rain leaks through these vents resulting in significant water damage in the attic space. Knowing that the black spray foam is rated for wet conditions, is an adhesive, and is UV and heat resistant gave me the idea to try this product to partially block the air vents. I climbed up into the attic space on a warm, dry day and looked to the roof peak. I sprayed roof vents where I saw significant daylight through the roof venting system. I only sprayed the openings that were on the Northeast side of the house (where the high northeaster winds pummel the roof). I did not spray the Southwesterly facing roof vent openings to I can still get some roof ventilation. The application sets up in a few hours and does successfully stop the water damage to the attic area. The Stanley black spray foam is a little expensive but man oh man it is worth the cost. I was able to avoid climbing a 45 degree angle roof which was over 30 feet above ground level by applying the foam from inside the attic. Looking back on this little project I can say that using the spray foam is a messy but highly rewarding experience. ... show more

  • Velcro of putty
Size: 1 Pack Style: BIG GAP FILLER
Let's start with the star of the show: the membership. When it comes to sealing gaps and cracks, you want something that can last a long time. Well, guys, let me tell you that Big Gap Filler has a stickiness factor of up to 11. It sticks to surfaces like a koala to a eucalyptus tree, forming such a strong bond that you will swear that your space never existed in the first place. Whether it's wood, metal, plastic, or even that weird textured thing you have in your attic, these things will stick to it like glue. It's like the Velcro of putty: once applied, it doesn't go anywhere! Ease of use: ★★★★★ Now let's talk about ease of use. Because let's face it, no one wants to spend their Saturday afternoon wrestling with putty that's harder to handle than a greased pig at the county fair. Don't worry my friends, because Big Gap Filler is here to save the world! It's so simple that even your grandma could do it (no offense to grandmas everywhere, you're all lovely people, but let's be real, some of you aren't). is a magician). DIY). Value for money: ★★★★★ Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room: value for money. Because let's face it, we all work hard to make money, and the last thing we want to do is throw it away for an expensive glue that works like a door. nets on submarines. But don't worry, my frugal friends, because Big Gap Filler is not only effective, it's a steal! size, you will have enough sealant to fill more gaps than you think. And don't forget the handy straw applicator, ensuring every last drop of glue is used well. Preparation is key: Before you begin sealing, be sure to clean and dry the surfaces thoroughly. A little prep work goes a long way in ensuring a strong and lasting bond. Practice makes perfect: If you're new to the world of sealants, don't worry! Take your time, start with small gaps and practice your technique. Before you know it, you'll be patching cracks like a seasoned pro. Ventilation is your friend: Although Big Gap Filler is non-toxic once processed, you should work in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling vapors. Open those windows and let the fresh air in! Patience is a virtue: Rome was not built in a day and it is not a perfect watertight house. Be patient and allow the sealant plenty of time to cure before subjecting it to pressure or stress. Easy cleanup: Are you a little lost with sealants and end up with more than space on your hands? Simply use a little soap and water to clean any remaining stain before it hardens. ... show more

  • works great for windows, fits Great Stuff Pro 14 applicator, doesn't have a reusable safety cap
Size: 1 Pack Style: LOW TEMP GAP FILLER
The Stanley window and door formula polyurethane foam was just what I needed to finish the rough in on my windows. I was able to connect this canister to my Great Stuff branded pro gun, and along with an applicator tip I easily and quickly filled the gaps around two 2x4 foot windows, with plenty left in the can for more. This is what you need for sealing doors and windows, as it won't over expand and force the frame out of shape. Removal from the applicator was easy, and the can valve did not leak after removal and cleaning. This is a 24 ounce can for 18 bucks, and is a great deal. The only negative is that the can's safety seal is not reusable, so when done and the can is removed, there is nothing to protect the valve from accidental activation. I ended up using the inner cap from the cleaning can which did fit the Stanley can. Fortunately the cleaner has an outer cap also, and if there is an accidental activation I'd much rather clean up acetone than poly foam. Stanley, if you're reading this, make the safety cap reusable! ... show more
