I have to admit, I was pretty hesitant to buy this stuff. Mainly because it was a $450 investment into a product I’ve never used before, but also because of some of the reviews showing some pretty horrible results. I have to say, I did not experience any of the negative things that people complained about and I’m fairly certain now after using 24 cans of this stuff without a single problem caused by a faulty product. I will outline a few things that I think were important to my success… 1: keep the cans indoors at room temperature until you’re ready to spray. (If it’s cold outside). Higher temp means higher viscosity and easier to spray evenly. Read the directions on the can for acceptable temperatures. I kept my cans at around 68 degrees before going into the garage which was 45 degrees. Worked great for me. 2: Use the cleaning solvent. If you pause spraying for even 30 seconds or so, spray cleaner on the tip and shake it off, otherwise it’ll start to gum up and spray erratically. Also, after each can is removed, spray and thoroughly clean the tip and the inlet. (No need to run the cleaner through the gun after each can unless you are done spraying for a while). I actually only needed 1 can of cleaner for 24 cans of foam. Your mileage may very. 3: let the foam spray out fast and move along at a steady speed to get even coating. If you spray at too low of pressure, it just shoots out bigger more spread out blobs and doesn’t coat evenly. Let the high pressure of the can do the work. Also keep a constant distance of around 12”. If you need to get in closer, move faster to keep the thickness even. 4: SHAKE THE CANS!! I can’t stress how important this is. So many of the photos I’ve seen in the negative reviews I can tell from my experience is caused by not shaking the cans before spraying. The few times I forgot, it sprayed like absolute garbage, a quick shake and I was in business. 5: lastly, use proper PPE. This stuff is essentially a foaming adhesive and it will get all over you and stick to your skin and hair. It will even get up your nose and stick to your nose hairs (ask me how I know). Use a mask, goggles, and full protective tyvek suit. This will ruin your clothes and you’ll have tiny droplets all over your body if you don’t. Conclusion: I will certainly be buying more of this for future projects. This stuff is awesome. My one suggestion to the company would be to offer the option of higher quality spray tips. The plastic ones work ok, but they do not provide a perfect spray pattern. I tried to pick the best looking ones, but really they all had poorly shaped holes and edges due to the nature of injection molding the plastic. This Kracken Spray foam is a great system and it’s really easy to use, I used it as soon as it was delivered so it didn’t have a chance to leak the propellant, which I heard can be an issue. The gun is a high quality, better than the Great Stuff gun, it’s got a coating that keeps the excess spray from sticking, so cleaning is a snap. Each can would fill about 10 sq ft to 2” depth. the product is easy to set up and use, its not that it is difficult to assemble or figure out how to use the nozzles, its the volume per can that will get you! Order more than you think as the foam needs to be applied, allowed to cure, then additional layers added to get the depth required. The foam works as advertised, it air seals and insulates effectively. I will use this product again! Be sure to clean the nozzle and applicator gun after each use! ... show more

I was a bit skeptical of a can. But pleasantly surprised it worked so well. The horizontal tip put out a nice wide fan at the recommended distance, the ceiling fan tip did the same but with noticeable over spray. (All kits do that) I would highly recommend and will be buying again myself

I bought this. Had a few things come up so I wasn’t able to use right away. When I finally used them, which was just past the return date, they didn’t work. Out of the 12 cans I bought, only two worked. The rest had no propellent. What a waste of money. I wanted to spray the rim joist along the foundation before the winter. I was hoping they worked because I have so many uses I can use small amounts of spray foam for customers houses since I own a construction company. But this was a waste of $287!!!! Amazon was willing to help me out by giving me a small credit but it was only enough to buy 3 cans. I read other reviews that this seems to be pretty common from this company that their product is defective. ... show more

This product works pretty good for small projects if you receive a good batch of cans. How to tell if cans are bad——> If you receive cans that no fluid moment is present upon shaking, and feels like product is all stuck at one end and won’t move, don’t use them as they are bad. These cans will do nothing if attached to gun, but put bad product in it if it even comes out and will clog gun. NOTE: Keeping these cans at a 65 to 73 degree temperature as soon as you receive them until your screwing it on the spray gun is 100% necessary to achieve the best results. Adding to that, you must remove all loose dust and dirt on whatever your spraying with a shop vac and brush attachment and a damp warm rag after to get any residue grime to achieve optimal adhesion. Whatever surface your spraying also should be around the same temperature as the cans 65 to 73 temp. Once cans are at correct temperature, shake the one your about to instal onto gun for a solid 60 seconds or more. Longer the better. One can should cover the area of a 4x8 sheet of plywood. ... show more
