Allow 24 hours for a full cure. ***NOTE: Store in a cool, dry location as high temperature and humidity can cause premature aging of the substance. Do not store in the refrigerator.   • HOW TO USE: Shake the Kraken Bond Fastcoat Insulation Foam Spray can very well before use. For vertical applications, apply the foam from a distance of 12-18 inches from the wall. For horizontal applications on the ceiling, spray the foam from 6-8 inches away. A thicker application provides higher insulation value. If you wish to resume later, keep the can attached to the applicator gun. NOT recommended for use with other brands.

Worked perfectly for me. The cans are super large and I kept hitting my subfloor with straight tip on. I switched to 45* angle and made it much easier. I sprayed the top half first and then turned the nozzle 180* and on a second pass sprayed the bottom half. Hardens to touch in about 30 min at 72F

Foam is not the only 4 letter word I used when using this "stuf". I used the Kraken foam in an attempt to insulate the underside of the aluminum floor in my Travel Trailer. The floor is extruded aluminum so first I chose to fill the gaps in the aluminum plank-like flooring with Great Stuff foam. A lot of work but it worked fairly well. The Kraken Bond spray did not work nearly as well. Had several blowouts when attempting to put the gun on the can of Kraken. Lucky not to get a face full of the stuff. Went through several pairs of goggles and face shields. I wore a respirator too. I went to great pains to insure the weather was right to apply the Kraken stuff, but it did not usually spray well or stick well to the remaining exposed aluminum or the Great Stuff foam. Sometimes it was acceptable but just as likely not. It was almost impossible to get a even coat of the stuff, and it would often leaves gaps directly to bare metal. Going back over the coating a day or so later to fill the gaps didn't work well. The new spray would slide down and leave the bare metal still exposed. Cleaning the gun was another nightmare. I lost track of how many cans of Acetone spray cleaner I went through trying to clean the gun. It was never good enough. I had to figure out how to disassemble the gun, and ream it out the best I could with a coat hanger and smaller picks. Hardened foam in the gun was part of the uneven nature of the spray pattern. Eventually I got fed up and bought sheets of XPS foam to cover the gaps between the floor joists. In hind sight I should have used unfaced fiberglass insulation immediately under the floor and covered it with the XPS foam glued into place to seal out weather, insects, and varmints. ... show more

The 24 can kit was plenty of material for double coverage of a little less than 300 square feet of surface. I have 2 cans leftover. They send loads of poly gloves, spray tips, and ample cleaner. One thing to know is only press the tip on past the first ridge. Also put the tip remover plate on before installing a spray tip. It aids in tip removal. ... show more

It’s a great product for a very small job. But if you’re trying to do a big project i believe you’re better off using one of the bigger frothpak or handipak kits. Sprays great but doesn’t expand as uniform as the other bigger kits. It’s also an open cell foam that i personally don’t feel seals as well ... show more
