My cat recently developed two completely separate medical conditions that, taken together, created all the symptoms of kidney failure. Anyone who has experienced the loss of a pet would know that when they’re dying even the most domesticated of animals will retreat into hiding in an attempt to draw predators away from their loved ones. I spent nearly a week dragging Sadie out from under my bed before I was able to take her to the vet (didn’t want to rush to the animal hospital because I fully expected a diagnosis of kidney failure and since Sadie did not yet appear to be fading away I wasn’t in a hurry to rush the end). Turns out Sadie is NOT dying . . . we were very lucky. The whole experience then prompted a search for a “solid-style” bedskirt that would prevent my cat from being able to hide under my bed. I certainly never expected it to cost $150! But anyone with a pet would understand why I still didn’t hesitate. This bedskirt works exactly as advertised and looks really good once in place. Installation went much faster than I expected and didn’t take more than 30 minutes. I folded the skirt into “hospital corners” and then used a couple strips of duck tape to keep the corners lying flat before buckling the corners. Manyfacturer says this can’t be used with a headboard but that’s not true if certain conditions are met. The headboard cannot be wider than the bed frame and if the headboard attaches to the wall then the bed frame must detach from the headboard. That said, the depth of the headboard really doesn’t matter since the stripes and buckles are plenty long enough to just wrap around the headboard before shoving it back against the wall.     • Great concept but has design flaws

The concept of this bed skirt is fantastic and I’m shocked it took this long to develop. The fabric is essentially doubled over bamboo slats that give the skirt weight and its straight appearance. The main problem is the long straps that allow the skirt to be tightened around the mattress. This design is fine if you do not have a head board or if the head board is attached to the wall and not your bed frame. The bamboo slats slightly wrap around the head of the bed but cannot reach the floor because the bamboo hits the bed frame where it connects to the head board. I think a better design would include long straps from side to side that go under the mattress. Also, I don’t think the bamboo is removable and therefore, you will not be able to wash this bed skirt. If the bed skirt contained removable plastic panels (maybe in between pleats), game over. The price is quite high for the quality but not the design. Most people that are willing to pay $170 for a bed skirt have a headboard so think about how and where your headboard connects to your bed frame before hitting the buy button. I don't normally write reviews, but for this bed skirt, I had to. I love it!! My husband and I purchased a king size bed back in October of 2023. It had been a lot of work making up the bed. The mattress is an old fashioned flippable one so it is very heavy to lift in order to tuck the flat sheets in. Every time I tucked the sheet under the mattress, the original skirt would stick to the flat sheet and would get tucked under as well. Now I don't have to struggle with that. I don't even have to lift the mattress. I just tuck the flat sheet under the mattress, and the skirt stays in place. Bed looks so much neater after it's all made up. I would definitely recommend this bed skirt. ... show more

Color looks exactly like pictured! We bought this because our cat pukes under our bed often (we have carpet floors) and we’re tired of pulling the bed out every week to clean the floors. Now my cat can’t get under the bed, making clean ups easier! Super easy to install and looks great!
