I really liked the material this product was made from. It seemed sturdy, and it looked good. I tried adding it to our king size bed foundation and it didn’t work because our bed frame covered up the foundation an inch or so. It would work well if you have a bed frame that doesn’t extend out and up your bed foundation (like a stand metal bed frame). ... show more

I rarely write reviews, but I felt I need to for this item because I didn’t understand exactly what I was getting nor do I believe it works well for all situations. I wish I had known this before ordering because it would have saved me some money and a big headache. The description mentioned it having bamboo strips, but I couldn’t figure out where. It’s a very thin, long flexible bamboo mat similar to a bamboo placemat that is sewed in between the outer fabric and the inner lining fabric. This gives it rigidity but is also lightweight. The description said it was for all bed frame types especially those with no attached headboard, including metal. I have a metal wire frame that sits high for storage space underneath and does not require a box spring. Unfortunately, this means that I have lots of open areas where the bed skirt cannot be tucked securely. It also means that on the head end where the straps are secured, there’s nothing for the straps to tighten down and become secure against. I ended up using safety pins to try to secure it at the head so I didn’t have the black bed frame showing. I really need to buy Velcro and secure it to my slippery metal frame all the way around as I think it will all come untucked the first time I change my sheets. Because it’s not attached very securely, it does not hang correctly, so it looks quite wonky and not neat and smooth. I’m frustrated because it took 45 minutes to install and if I had just installed a normal box pleat bed skirt it would have taken 10 minutes and I’d be completely done; and it would look better than this currently looks. I still need to work on it quite a bit more by applying Velcro and readjusting. When I went to my Amazon account to write this review, I see that the price has dropped $34 since I ordered it last week! Ugh! Now I really feel ripped off. It is very well made and worth the cost if it suits your bed frame type. As far as the smell that others have complained about, it’s not terribly strong. It’s kinda like a new car smell…not bad! I’m still giving this 3 stars because I believe that if you are attaching it to a bed with a normal frame and box spring, it would work much better since it would have the proper shape and support behind it. If you have a metal frame with no box spring, either stay far away from this or buy Velcro and safety pins, and be prepared for battle! ... show more
