  • I Like It!
This is a terrific bass! I am not a full time bassist, but I have been a musician for over half a century, and this is a fine string bass for the price. I marked it down to four stars because the extra metal pieces needed for bowing were very difficult to manage and not as functional as I would have wanted. However, I don't intend to bow it, so I am very happy with it. And it looks great standing in the corner of my music studio. ... show more

Color: Metallic Black
The only problem and complaint is that the cable input connection can make feed back noise while playing. I have had to re-solder the pot connection to solve this problem.

  • Bad neck to body connection; No support
Color: Dark Brown
This is a poorly constructed instrument with NO support or contact information from the manufacturer. The end pin rattles and can be heard over the speaker/headphones. The worst part is the neck is held in place with 5 wood screws into wood that splinters. The one I received already had the neck separating from the body by a half inch and could not be tightened due to the cheap wood the screws go into. I had to return the instrument. If there was a tongue and groove that the neck slid into the body instead of being flat requiring the screws to hold it in place, this would be a fair (for the price) instrument. ... show more

  • Four Stars
Color: Transparent Red
The endpin rattles when I hit certain notes. Cannot seem to tighten it to make the rattle stop.

  • Excellent instrument, especially for the price
Color: Black
Excellent instrument, especially for the price. Don't complain if it doesn't play like a bass guitar. This is not a bass guitar. It is not even a guitar. Doesn't compare to my German double bass, but that is a completely different kind of instrument. This instrument is a lot of fun.

  • it is a fine instrument for the price
A couple of issues with endpin rattle, and found it needs a preamp between it and the amp. After correcting these issues, it is a fine instrument for the price.

Got it for my Son and he loves it. The assembly was not great as one of the supports does not go in straight but this is a small thing. othewise sounds great and we are happy.

  • Most bang for the buck!
Unit arrived in perfect condition. After some minor set-up adjustments, I was playing away. Provides a nice complement to my 1957 Kay 3/4 Upright bass. Couldn't be more pleased with a purchase!
