  • It’s a st croix
Style: 9'9" Light/Moderate 2 Pc.
Got it in 2 days and it’s perfect for northern Ohio steelhead. Bought an ugly stik and it was to heavy duty. Arrived in perfect condition.

  • Great rod
Style: 8'6" Heavy/Fast 2 Pc.
I bought it because the legend Elite Salmon steelhead 2 oz is no longer available, and so far so good. No regrets. Very light . I bought it after purchasing the UglyStick (similar test). It's like night and day - so much lighter and more responsive.

I bought this fishing rod as it had good reviews. I’ve been an avid fisherman for 35 years so I know what I’m doing. After about the 3rd cast it snapped where the two pieces are put together. They were put together correctly and it snapped. I can’t return it because of the 30 day policy. Unfortunately I just used it the day before 30 days expired ... show more

I decided to treat myself for Christmas and bought, "the best rod on earth" paired with a Penn reel. I'm keeping the reel, it works as expected. The rod, however could be shorter by four inches on both the base and the tip. It is a beautiful dark blue rod with sealed rod guides. The rod tip is expertly installed- look at the picture. But the base is unwieldy to the point that it actually interferes with casting, and the rod end does not add anything to the fight. I caught a couple of trout on a freezing cold morning, where the water flicking off the line clogs up the rod tip in a ball of ice. Then you have to hold your ungloved hand on it to melt it for another cast. It was an ideal trout morning. I didn't catch any really big ones, but I found out all I needed to know... for the money, this is not a good rod. Guess I'll get another Ugly Stick. P.S. the sticker on the base disputes their advertising that says made in Wisconsin. ... show more

  • Wonderful Rod
Style: 8'6" Heavy/Fast 2 Pc.
I purchased these rods for Salmon fishing and was skeptical at first as they were replacements for my dependable "Wild River" rod now a discontinued model. I will say they are a superb rod. They function very well, are balanced and handle exceptional. I am impressed with the amount stress they can take when handling big and strong fish like King Salmon. These are excellent rods I recommend them. ... show more
