  • Great performing golf ball
Color: Pure White
The media could not be loaded. Background - I'm a 6 handicap with a driver swing speed in the low-mid 90's MPH. So I'm not long off the tee by any means. My game is predicated around consistency, control and the golf ball reacting in the air and around the green how I expect it to. I played the Bridgestone B330 RX for years before starting to experiment with some other brands last year. After researching, I hit Pro V1’s and TaylorMade TP5’s. I also tried the Srixon Z-Star XV's in an attempt to gain higher launch with my longer clubs. I finally landed on the Srixon Z-Stars. In my opinion the Z-Stars way outperform the Bridgestones (although I haven't hit their 2020 versions) and TaylorMades. They are at least on par with the gold standard (in most peoples eyes) Titleist Pro V1, and about $10 cheaper per dozen. And the XV's did not launch high enough to be worth the payoff of reduced short game spin. Off the tee the Z-Stars are within a yard or 2 of their longest “performance” ball competitor. For me, that's an average carry distance of 240 yards, total distance of 255 yards. They can be flighted up or down with an iron, and around the green they have all the spin you need. During a recent sim session I was consistently seeing 9500-10000 rpm with a full sand wedge. Regarding feel... I must say I don't understand other reviews that claim these balls feel hard or "like rocks". My experience is has been center strikes feel the most soft and satisfying of any ball I’ve tried recently. Also, I used one ball for my last 18 holes. I kept it off the cart paths, road etc and it showed only minimal wear. While my clubhead speed is not the fastest, I would still say that qualifies it as durable. What else is there you want from a golf ball? My search is over... highly recommend. ... show more

  • Not durable at all
Color: Pure White
It’s a good high compression ball, but I’ve learned with Srixon balls that you lose the money you save with durability. After a typical round I usually have 2 balls that are so scuffed by basic wedge and iron play that they aren’t good anymore. But that skin does play well on the green. It’s a tradeoff. ... show more

  • Good
Color: Tour Yellow
Nothing wrong with these balls. My favorite to play and price is competitive with everyone else. Only issue I have is they don’t package them in a regular Amazon box. They slap some tape around the manufacturer box and send them out. I get home and from the Street I can clearly read Srixon. And if the tape rips. All the sleeves would be gone. Not smart. Ended up ok. But beware. Will be left at your door in same box it be in when picked up from store. ... show more

  • Favorite foe years.
Color: Tour Yellow
I REALLY like this ball. I love the yellow. It is soft for great response around the greens. You can find it cheaper if you play last seasons ball, and I can never tell a difference from year to year. Maybe you get used to one ball over another, but I don't like Pro V1s any better than this ball.
