This bird feeder seems to attract a lot of birds. I first had it hanging from something squirrels could climb up and did find them hanging upside down to reach the feeder which they were very competent in doing and removing the bird seed. I moved it to a porch overhang which has worked great, squirrels are not able to get to it now. It looks nice, is easy to fill and I’m very happy with it. The birds can easily get the seed and the perch ring is the right diameter for them to sit securely. it's easy to clean and refill. Looks nice, too.

These smaller bird feeders are almost perfect. Construction is great and they look fantastic. The only small problem is in filling the feeders. Bird seed seems to go everywhere when filling, making a mess in and around the feeder. I have tried pouring directly from the seed bag, and using a small cup, but still end up with a lot of seed running out of the feeder. NOTE to self, DO NOT fill these in the house. I think in my case it may be the type of feed I am using, smaller size, but it runs out of the screen area quite easily. The feed is supposed to be for songbirds, and they seem to like it so go figure. ... show more

This birdfeeder is a metal cage and not a plastic container. So it’s holding up a lot better than my previous birdfeeder that cracked about a month after I got it. The birds seem to love it and it’s really easy to fill.

This feeder is perfect for the feed that I put in it. It is easy to refill. However, it is definitely NOT squirrel proof -- unless I have super talented squirrels. Even with a baffle and extending out 2 feet from my deck, they manage to jump on it and tenaciously hold on and eat all the expensive seed. My squirrels love this. They leap onto the tray, push the lid up with head or paw, tip the feeder sideways, and scatter the seeds. It took them five minutes to figure out how squirrel resistant was this nifty little feeder. It is a cute feeder. Cannot use mixed seed, but sunflower seeds are fine. If the wire on top had a little button or other device to lock the top in place, it might be squirrel resistant. As is, the squirrels are smiling ear to furry ear. ... show more
