Let’s be real. This is pretty expensive for the amount of potting soil you get. But the soil I’ve been using was discontinued so I took a chance on this one. It’s great soil! Very lightweight and drains quickly. I have found it excellent not just for succulents, but starting both garden veggies from seed and propagating all sorts of plants. This mix was very fine and light weight. Fries quick between waters which is essential for succulents/cactus. Minimal wood chunks compared to other succulent potting mixes I’ve tried which I like as I feel big woody pieces disturb newly rooting plants.

As you can see in the pictures, this soil saved my Echeveria in only 3 days!! It made a huge difference right away, and my succulents have never been happier! I ordered more of this soil for my house plants, and so far they’re doing great and I’ve seen a ton of new growth. If you’re new to plants (like me) and don’t know what soil to buy, you can’t go wrong with this one! Great drainage, and it doesn’t pack down and get too dense like other soils. I kill EVERYTHING. Even succulents, however since I’ve planted them in this soil. I’ve managed to keep them alive! I’ve only swapped out the soil once since August and they are doing great. Recommend!

I liked that a 2 quart bag was exactly what I needed to get my plants repotted. I don't have a lot of storage and so a bigger bag would have gone to waste. Hopefully my plants are happy in their new pots with this soil!
