This is my second time ordering from Springfield leather. The first time I ordered a small box of scrap leather and got some really fun and amazing pieces. I should have read the description more closely with this order. Some earth tones are great but I got so many browns. They say that you can email them with requests. Also something I should have done. These things alone did not contribute to my 4 star rating. The reason that I took off a star is that I literally got some pieces that were sewn into the shape of a couch arm and one piece that has velcro stitched into all the way around. This seems less like a scrap piece and more like trash. Not sure I will order this size box again. Will probably try to smaller one next time. I like the more detailed pieces. ... show more

This is by far the best scrap box you will ever purchase. Every time I buy a scrap box from Springfield Leather company I get as excited as a kid waiting for Christmas. I don't believe there's anywhere else you can find a scrapbox like this, with different colors and huge sized pieces. Delivery is extremely fast, got mine in 2 days and I live on Hawaii (which usually means extra long delivery time)! Extra Bonus is that you can request colors and every time my expectations are well exceeded. I just want to keep buying these boxes because it's so much fun receiving them and going through all the fantastic leather pieces. Will definitely buy over and over again!! ... show more

I have ordered this particular item from SLC three times. I am yet again very pleased with the selection of leather scrap that I received. So much so that I am leaving a review, which I rarely have the time for. SLC is a dream to work with. Even though their leather scrap is ever changing and it's impossible to know what you're going to get, they worked with me to meet my particular needs the best they were able. I am a happy customer! There was not ten pounds in the box we purchased. No where near ten. I liked the variety of colors and was happy with the pieces but wish they would have shipped the ten pounds we have paid for. So I’m not certain. I would put the trust in ordering this again. Who is weighing and making them accountable?? ... show more

Some very nice pieces. Perfect for jewelry or craft projects. Good size pieces. Some with beautiful designs. Great assortment of different styles. Love the box of soft leather. Happy with purchase, Nice big pieces & some un-useable small ones aswell but, Worth the cost to me personally. I already made a key fob out of some of the leather :D However I did receive a bible in the leather pile aswell, which I did not like, It was a Jehovah's witness bible (New world Translation of the Holy Scriptures) . I hope I was not charged for the weight of the book aswell but, Who knows? ... show more

this was not at all what I was expecting I received a lot of thin long pieces a lot of small 2" x 4" pieces a few larger pieces but nothing which can be used for any projects I am needing to do I didn't mind the 4" but if they could have been longer say 12" I would have been happy would not recommend (unless you want true scrap material) I bought a box from Tandy Leather once, it was nice stuff with nice sizing to it and I paid less so I figured this would be comparable but it wasn't even close would not purchase again ... show more
