First thing to know is that the spray nozzle has only one pattern and is not adjustable. You get what you get. For me, it's perfect. I will use this primarily to spray degreasing mixtures for cleaning engines and drivetrains, other car parts, cleaning the outdoor grill and other stuff that gets cruddy and needs a degreaser. The spray is a middle atomization giving around a six inch circle at two feet. Again, that's perfect for me. Spraying other mixtures may be more problematic, like insecticides and things like that would probably do better with a traditional sprayer. And that's the only downside. On the upside, this is very easy to use and you feel like a boss spraying cleaner. You spin off the brass filler/pressurizer inlet, pour in your elixir, and just air it up with your air compressor. You can hand-tighten the fitting, but you might want to get out that 15/16" wrench to snug it up the first time to get that gasket a seat. Mine leaked hand-tightening it the first time but seated fine after snugging it up with the wrench. After that, yes, it can be leak free by using just your Kung Fu grip. This is a heavy gauge container. It has to hold high pressure, so it has to be. The container is steel, but everything else is brass or stainless. Even the siphon pickup tube and valve are brass. Works as advertised. I pressurized it to 50 psi just to test it out and worked great. I was sort of expecting some leakage from the valve but it was completely tight. One point to make, it does specify that it's not to be used with water or water based products. I assume that has to do with the potential for rust in the container. Unfortunately, most all of the solvents I use are water based, like Simple Green and the degreaser I like. I'll try it with those just to see what happens and will update the review if there's anything relevant to report. ... show more

    • Useful spray bottle, you pressurize it and spray solvents or oils.

It's solidly built. The pressure vessel inside that will hold the pressurized fluid you are spraying is probably iron or steel, because the instructions are not to use it water-based fluids. It comes with a Schrader valve for the air pressurization, with a lever for pressure relief. And there's a standard screw fitting for the spray to come out. A pinhole nozzle is provided but you could attach your own separate nozzle. The outlet from the bottle itself is larger than pinhole size. The instructions are minimal. The "parts list and diagram" is missing the diagram. This type of sprayer is not recommended for spraying paint. I don't know why that is though. Perhaps the pressure is not enough if you pressurize it first, then disconnect the compressor and spray with it. This is what is typically shown as the way to use it. But I don't know why one could not leave the compressor running thru the Schrader valve, providing continuous pressure. ... show more

This non-aerosol sprayer is awesome. I can put in whatever fluid I want to spray, pressurize it, and spray away. It should be obvious but you need an air compressor to pressurize this so make sure you have an air compressor if you decide to get this. I find this very useful for using up the contents of spray cans that have lost it's pressure and no longer spray. To use up the contents of spray cans that have lost their pressure, I just cut them open, drain the contents into this sprayer, and it's back in business. The interior walls must not be rustproof as it states not to water-based products. I haven't had any issues with leaks that others have reported but I do see others have reported leaks so your miles may vary and wanted to point that out as I see others have reported that their units leak. Overall, this is a solid sprayer and I would get it again if needed. ... show more

This is the "Big" sprayer - its a heavy duty and quite heavy unit Including a longer spray tube is a great addition and lets you have a little more working distance when you want it - with either the spray or the stream nozzle insert. I've had others like this before - so the two different sprat functions didn't need explaining but if you haven't had one, it could be a little confusing- It arrives with the "spray" nozzle installed - a small brass piece inside the nozzle. The "Stream" nozzle is that small white plastic piece with a small hole straight through it - either one can be installed inside the chrome nozzle front piece - resulting in the two different spray types but its not well explained. The spray pattern isn't usually fine enough for painting but great for cleaning or lubricating solutions. Filling the tank is slightly tricky because the opening isn't that large (for pressure issues) but the included beaker works fine and it just takes a little care (or use a funnel) They caution about not using water - it will rust and corrode the inside and wreck the sprayer but solvents and solvent based solutions work great. The straight stream (jet) nozzle is quite forceful and will splash - I use it as a portable parts washer but it can be messy if fully charged with a lot of pressure. We've been using Sure Shot sprayers for years, saw this one so I thought I'd give it a try. Out of the box it comes with gaskets and some nice accessories- measuring cup and sprayer extension. The real beauty of this unit is the way it is made. The pictures are a side by side comparison of this sprayer vs. the Sure Shot sprayer. The handle is solid and welded to the can, not spot welded. The handle itself is a pipe and welded to metal brackets. The bottom of the Sure Shot is spot welded together and this one solid piece. It has a nice solid feel in your hands too. The spray mechanism is made out of the same material as the Sure Shot sprayer so I expect many years out of this sprayer. Highly recommend! One more thing- buy the Sure Shot SUR-156 Filler Cap and you won't need a wrench when refilling. ... show more

Just received this item, and I opted to test this with nothing but air pressure. It failed badly. Leaks from all areas, but mainly thumb trigger. I made sure all O-rings were in place and snug. Didn't make a difference. I do not recommend this unit
